Trip To Kompong Som

Our plan was so "last minute" the idea for 11A to have a trip because we only came up with together on the Monday. That gave us just four days to prepare ZAMAN NEWSPAPER to go to Kompong Som the Zaman, Publisher following Saturday.

Soon after that our trip to Kompong Som started………

On the way we bought bread, water and some other stuff for our breakfast. We were listening to many Korean Songs. After 2 hours we had reached the place for our breakfast near “Chey Mao”.

After we had breakfast we bought bananas and incense to pray to “Chey Mao” for our luck, happiness and safety for our trip.

After an hour and a half we reached Kompong Som and then we went to our hotel. It was in front of the beach with a beautiful view from the windows and it came with free tickets for breakfast, too. But we were so tired by then, so we went to our

rooms and had a nap. But not all of us, some students were playing X box, PSP and watching TV. At 1 pm in the afternoon some of our friends were swimming in the sea. It was so hot but we were very happy spending time with our friends. After we had been swimming for an hour we were very hungry so we ordered some noodles and seafood to eat. Then we went to our rooms and stayed there until 5 o’clock.

We still hadn’t decided where we were going to have dinner that evening. For 30 minutes we drove around on the school bus looking for a place for dinner and at last we found it. It was by the sea with a breeze blowing, and then we ordered some crab and lobster. While they were cooking dinner for us, we had a walk with our homeroom teachers on the beach and

discussed what we were going to do next. After we had a delicious dinner, our teacher went to buy durian for desert and it was out of this world, the durian was so yummy.

Then we went back to the hotel and had a sleep, but we were playing games until 5 am in the morning, so some of the students got up late the next day, while other students had an early breakfast.

Then Mr. Naci brought us some more durian to e a t . Af t e r we a l l prepared our stuff to go back Phnom Penh we decided to go to SOKA Beach to have lunch there. So we went to buy some crab and lobster again and they cooked it for us. We waited until 11:30 and then we grabbed the food and went to Soka Beach, but we didn’t eat right away, we played volley ball with the

teachers.

After that we had lunch and rested for awhile, then had a swim in the sea. At 2:30 we prepared our stuff and got in the bus and were ready to go back to Phnom Penh. On the way back we were all sleeping happily.

At 6 pm we arrived back at school. It was dark by then and some student’s parents came to give them a lift home. So our trip to Kompong Som ended.

ACTIVITIES

BBQ At Dormitory It was Saturday, the 23th of January, the day which we had arranged for our class BBQ meal. Around 15 students from our class joined in this activity at the dormitory. My friend from Australia, who was on holiday here, also came to join the party.

The party started at 11am and when I arrived at the dormitory most of our friends were already there sitting in the living room chatting or playing video games.

They seemed like they were having a really great time together so I joined them. We waited for the rest of our friends for around 15 minutes and when they arrived we started the BBQ party. We all went up to the roof of the dormitory to start up the fire for the BBQ but the wind was too strong and it was hard for us to start the fire. In the end we needed help from Mr. Mehmet to get the fire started, to my surprise Mr. Mehmet was really good at it and soon we had enough of a fire to start the BBQ. As we waited for the food to cook, we all sat down and had a chat with our homeroom teacher Mr. Naci and his assistand Mr. Billa.

We discussed the upcoming exam and our plans for the next trip we were going to take. While we were talking we heard the door bell ring. As we all looked down to see who it was, we were really happy to see that our friends who had just finished the ‘O’ level course had also come to join the party. So we invited them to join in the discussion. We all enjoyed the discussion very much because we got a lot of tips from Mr. Naci. He taught us how to prepare for our upcoming exam and told us to start hitting the books more in order to get better results for the next term.

The food was almost cooked so we all helped to prepare for the meal. There was salad, grilled chicken, bread and Pepsi. All the food looked so tasty and we couldn’t wait to start eating.

While we were having our lunch, Mr. Naci took out his phone and took some photos of us all together so we would be able to remember that wonderful moment. We finished all of the food quickly and soon we were

full.

After the delicious meal, Mr. Naci told us that he had a surprise for all of us. So he asked a few students to go with him and they went downstairs. After a few minutes they came back up with some white boxes in their hands.

And I could guess what was in the boxes just by the smell. It was

Durian in the boxes, so we all had durian as our dessert. The taste of the durian was out of this world. When we had finished the durian some of us decided to go back home because we still had some private lessons to take, so we all left the dormitory together.

It might have been only a brief party, but we all really

appreciated that our homeroom teacher Mr. Naci and Mr. Billa had invited us. This party did help us a lot. It helped us to relax after a whole week of studying and it also helped to strengthen our friendship too. So, we are really looking forward to our next activity together.

12-B’s Life In Zaman

Since 2005 we have had a chance to study together. The first grade we took together was grade 8. On the first day we were strangers to each other. After a week had passed we became friends and our relationship with each other has grown closer and closer over the years until now.

After we became close we did many activities and took many trips together to a lot of places.

Our trips and activities helped motivate our relationship and relax us after classes. We have been to many places such as Soun So Ben(fishing, barbeques), Water park(swimming), White elephant (swimming, playing snooker), Kirirom (fishing, barbeques, swimming, riding bicycles and boating), Siem Riep province (visit temples, cultural village and Baray Tek Tla), Sihanouk province(swimming, fishing, barbeques, watching the sunset, going to islands, riding a banana), boat trip on Mekong and Bassac river, trips abroad to

Turkey, Malaysia and Singapore. because every year we have lost And our many local activities we one or two friends. We all know that we cannot roll back time, and soon we will all be separated as this academic year ends, but our friendships will never end and we won’t forget our memories, both sweet and sad.

At last, we all would like to apologize to all ours teachers and especially Mr. Murat KILIC for any bad things we may have done and we would also like to say thanks to everyone who has looked after us and given us advice so far. Thanks to ZAMAN for being the second home that has given us many good things such as friends, education and experiences.

ACTIVITIES

Loeung Reach Symbol of 12-B 9th Generation

We have done many things together since 2005 such as field trips, playing games, class day performances, competing in sports (football and basketball tournaments), helping each other…etc. We always give a hand to each other, and that is w h y M r. M u r a t K ı l ı ç o u r homeroom teacher got a brilliant idea one day. In order to cement our relationship and make it as strong as a diamond, to remember the happy times these last 5 years, we would "plant a tree

together”. This year is our last year of school so we want to place a tree as a symbol of the 9th generation grade 12B class.

In addition, planting a tree is a helpful activity for the environment.

We started to collect money to buy a tree called “Loeung Reach”. Even though the amount of money that was collected was not a great amount, it had a deep meaning in our hearts. After two weeks Davud ordered the tree. Then it

was brought inside our school to the boy's side garden. On that afternoon everybody tried to dig a hole as deep as we could, especially Mr Murat, Davud, Pisith, and Sithisak. At first, we found out that the land was really hard to dig up because it was mostly rock but we didn’t give up.

After we had dug a small hole, we went to class for the lesson and left our teacher to finish digging it alone. After break time, he told us to plant it because the hole was big enough to plant the tree now.

Finally, we finished planting the tree and we took many photos with our 12-B Tree. Luckily, after we planted it the weather was good for our tree because it rained for two and a half days. We expect that after a few more years, when we come back to school on a visit, we will see that our tree has grown bigger and bigger and is full of flowers. We hope.

for boys that the school maintains for students who want to spend a night or two together for studying and good times.

Dormitory can help us to improve our study skills, friendships and one more important thing, which is that we can learn how to live on our own. And that will be really useful for us in the future.

This is the schedule that we must follow while we stay there: 06:00 get up, 06:15 prepare for school, 06:30 have breakfast, 07:00 go to school, 17:15 1st study hour,

18:00 dinner time, 19:00 2nd study hour, 20:00 break time, 20:15 3rd Study hour, 21:00 activity, 22:00 sleep.

This is an article about the gathering that took place of 11 male students from grade 12.

This activity was held on the 14th and 15th of December. This was the 4th time that we had stayed at the dorm. Here are some comments from our friends about the dormitory: Davud: "I've never done housework since I was born but

when I come here I do a lot of housework……lolz Sithisak: I am very happy when I stay together with my friends.

Many activities in dorm are amazing!!!!

Vathana: Before I sleep at dorm I have some arguments with some friends but after dorm it is all forgotten.

Dyna: I need dormitory twice a month. My dormitory!!!!!

Darith: We can share our knowledge and help each other with lessons.

Bunlong: Whoever wants to become the best student like me, come to dorm!!! And ask me!!!

Oudamsak: After I've stayed at dorm every one of my books is full of lessons and homework. …hehehe Narong: If you want to come try to sleep a lot before come to dorm!!!

12-A’s Class Day

On the 27th of December, 2009 12A had the honor of inviting the parents of every student in the class to join in class day. The program was started with our great national anthem and was sung by 10 students from 2A class. After the national anthem we had prepared many songs to follow, such as: “Rek sa bes doung knhom neng nek” sung by Chhay Heng, the second song was “No bounderies” and it was sung by Thiraks, the third song w a s a Tu r k i s h s o n g c a l l e d “Bosve Bosve ar kadas” performed by Sothy. After these three songs our class had

prepared a quiz for our parents.

For the next stage of the program there was a slide show that documented all our friendships from the 8th grade through to the 12th grade. After this slide show, three more songs followed, the first song called “Akara deng kun” sung by Seyharith and Lichandarith, the second was “Dreams” performed by Thiraks and Phanarith and the last one was a Turkish song called “Telli Telli” sung by Kolneath and Sothy. To make this party more exciting and fun 12A had prepared one sketch that Vitou and Monirath Seng Sun Heng

Sopheara presented. The sketch was called “Tam ton chun keng.”

For the finale we wanted to end on a happy note so we chose the class song “Krom mek ter muy” which was performed by all of 12A. One of the purposes of the program was to show parents what their children can do, especially when working as a team to enhance individual talents and abilities. And we could see that the show made every parent happy because we could see their smiles and how excited everyone was to watch what their children had made for

them. Everyone in the room felt whatever sadness they may have had vanish during the performance. We were all embraced with the feeling that this moment would live forever in all our hearts because that was the first time that 12A united to make a program like that and it was also the last.

An Unforgettable Evening In Master Suki Soup

On Sunday January 17, 2010, our class had a party at Master Suki Soup which is located near Bak Touk High school. It was a very meaningful evening that none of us will ever forget. That was the day that one of our members was going to leave us and depart for Australia. His name is Sopheara Chek and he’s our ex-class monitor. We happily enjoyed the warm atmosphere as we ate dinner together. We had left our school at 5:30 pm and gone directly to Master Suki Soup. Once there we began drinking soup, laughing, cheering and poking fun at each

other and nothing could have made the evening a n y happier.

Sophea ra’s face showed h o w glad he was that everybody had taken the time to enjoy a final dinner together there.

At first he was happily singing K h m e r s o n g s , followed by some English songs accomp anied by Panharit h C. playing his wonderful sounding guitar for backup.

We had prepared a

cake for him and we all ate it together then. We enjoyed this meaningful time together in an area that easily accommodated around 20 students. We felt a bit regretful that some of our friends couldn't make it because they were lagging behind in their work.

Anyway, we all wish that this guy will be forever happy and have a bright future in Australia and I hope we will all be friends forever.

The Leaves of Zaman Tree

he sun is an essential source for heat, light and energy. If there were no life on Earth, the existence of the sun would not make sense.

Indeed, the solar energy with the sun, stars, the moon and the Earth with the non-living things, the plants and the animals living on it are all for the humankind.

As for the education, the school building, the decoration in the classrooms, the database, the qualified

teachers, industrious and diligent personnel, the smart boards as well as the other facilities of the school are provided for the attendees and learners whose sound is like a nice rhythm in the orchestra, whose appearance is a part of a beautiful painting, whose action makes the teaching play exciting, whose existence enables our presence in the learning premise. If the teachers are root of the tree in that they get what the tree

needs, the students are the leaves of that tree . The tree is a plant and its leaves need to make photosynthesis so that it s u r vives w it h t h e h elp o f sunlight its leaves receive.

Each and every teacher at ZIS feels lucky and fortunate to have many “leaves” which are different, colorful and beneficial. They have many features to appreciate and take pride in. What makes Zaman "garden" pretty is these trees, leaves and fruits.

This issue has some articles focusing on the class activities, the movie club’s performance, reflections of being a teacher at ZIS and parent schooling which is brand new facility for the respectable parents of ZIS. I hope you will have a nice time during your journey in the pages of this issue, too. If you wonder about the fruits of that tree, please wait for the next issue of our long-awaited newspaper.

The red group with members Rosa Nhim Khemara (6A), Ousa (5C), Virya (5A) and Thanviseth (5B) were the winner garnering 28 points. Second were the blue team with members Nay Sreypech (6A), Pichsovannthyda ( 5A), Sreytep (5C), and Soyean (5A) with 23 points. The third placer was the orange team with members Kimchip Phoung (6A), Kimhoing (5A), Lionel (5B), and Seuchhav (5C) with 22 points.

n 21st of January this year, our school had a quiz bee competition.

It was held on the 4th & 5th lesson in the morning. The players were 5th and 6th graders. Before the competition started, we were given a test. Each class chose 3 final qualifiers. After the 12 members were chosen, we were divided into 3 groups, namely, Red, Orange and Blue.

Each group got 4 members.

When the quiz bee started, all the group members were very excited but also in fear for

their performance. There were 4 categories, English, Math, Science and General Knowledge. Each category had 7 questions and each question took 1 minute. The first 3 categories were all multiple choices but the last category was identification. The red, orange and blue team answered correctly to the first two categories but when it went to Science, some teams answered wrong. After each category there was a break and we watched dancers from 6A and 5C and also watched funny

and inspiring short videos that were prepared by Mr. Kudret Dogan.

The third group was thrilled at first when Mrs. Erken and Miss Jasmin announced the score but was settled after a few minutes. All the group took a picture together. I think that this quiz bee competition is really great for students to understand more about the lessons. This also tests the strength and teamwork of participants while sharpening brains. I would like to say to the win n ers as well as to th e participants, “A good student always gets to the top with intellect, confidence and good attitude”. Thank you..’).

Happiness at Zaman

Colorful building, decorative classrooms, friendly staff and pleasant surrounding, those are just some of the things that welcomed me on my first day in ZAMAN. Being one of the new teachers in this prestigious school, I felt proud and challenged thinking of productive and interesting lessons I should share with my

Khmer students. Being a foreign teacher is not at all new to me because I had an experience teaching in foreign school too three years ago but what is new is the language and culture. It’s not that I can not handle it but it has made me feel curious.

The first day of school was one of the days I could not

indeed a nice start for all of us.

As many days passed we felt more comfortable with each other. I have gained their trust and I am obliged to be not only their teacher but a role model.

Truly, teaching is a noble profession. I can not explain how I feel when I see the result of my teaching, when I see how they progress and indeed it is a big consolation for me as a teacher. Basically, teaching here in ZAMAN makes me feel like a Universal Teacher. Coping up with new colleagues, new students, and new system is quiet challenging and keeps me going! I do not think of differences, I do not think of similarities. What matters most is how I touch other people’s life and how I mould my students into the right shape they should become.

Being in ZAMAN makes me feel special just like my students, just like everyone!

My Remarkable First Year Experience at ZIS

T

here can be many scary feelings to face just before your role as “Teacher” becomes real. To put those worries in perspective, take a moment and fantasize; picture your idea of a perfect first year. Imagine how you want to feel, the climate you create in your classroom and some of the ideals you have set for yourself. This vision had helped me in my personal goalsetting process. To be a faculty member of this prestigious school ZAMAN Primary International School really gave me those feelings not to give up instead broaden my knowledge to teaching

experience to discovering my love for helping and supporting pupils. I found each day a new challenge as new faces, new personalities were emerging which brought various obstacles on my way as different methods of teaching were needed. The most enjoyable aspect of this work environment is that no day is ever the same. -New lessons, new people, new discoveries. It was exciting to know that I had the opportunity to assist in someone’s learning, gaining satisfaction from seeing the new skill acquired. This particular experience, working within a primary school

Teachers also need excellent verbal and writing skills as well as expertise in her/his chosen subject area, if appropriate.

We should be able to give clear instructions which others can easily follow, and of course be highly organized. Previous experience of working with children will also give us a real advantage.

I am very much looking forward to expanding my practical and theoretical knowledge by continuing believing in my goals of “I want my pupils to succeed and learn more things and make me as their role model because I truly value the sense of achievement gained in teaching new skills to children and I wish to continue to do so.

Zaman Movie Club

This magic has begun in Zaman International Primary School. Zaman International Primary School has started Zaman Movie Club intended for our parents and students.

Also relatives can participate in this activity. Every week, on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m., d i ffe re nt a n d i nte re st i n g movies will be shown at the Conference room of Zaman International Primary School.

Each movie which is going to be shown is selected scrupulously

by our teachers in charge. If the movie of that week appeals to you, first thing you should do is to book your seat. You can get needed information from the reception. The tickets are free for parents and students, but relatives will be charged 2$.

Zaman Movie Club's first movie shown, was Coraline.

Over 70 seats were booked for the movie, Coraline. Parents and students, as well as teachers of Zaman International School enjoyed the movie. It was great, when the movie was accompanied by the snacks and beverages provided.

Although our Movie Club is new, the first performance was flawless. Did you miss the first performance? No matter! Now is your chance!

3-B’s Kirirom Excursion

O

n the 6th of February the 3B students and teachers had an unforgettable trip to Kirirom Pa r k . T h i s w a s a t r e a t t o Chanvathna Chea as she celebrates her birthday and at the same time to expose the class to one the best tourist attraction of the country.

Kirirom is located at Phnom Sruoch district in the province of Kampong Speu, Kirirom National Park is established on a seven hundred meters hill covering an area of over thirty five thousand hectares in the E l e p h a nt M o u nta i n s . T h e name 'Kirirom' meaning Mountain of Joy was given to it by the King of Cambodia.

Kirirom National Park, a high altitude plateau, is known for

its unique high elevation pine forest, which forms the headwaters for numerous streams feeding Kampong Speu Town. This park is part of the 'Southwest Cluster Protected Areas' which include Phnom Bokor, Preah Sihanouk and Kep National Parks.

Everyone came to school very early on that day wearing the excitement on their faces.

They had their individual bag of snacks and drinks showing how ready they were for the 2 hour trip. Chanvathna’s father also bought a huge birthday cake, biscuits and juices for everyone. There were spaghetti, chicken and rice for the lunch too. We left the school campus at 8:00am. On t h e way, st u d e nt s p l aye d

guessing game and they sang songs in chorus. Boredom was never felt in the trip.

We arrived in Kirirom at 10.20 am. The bus was filled with “Hoorays”. We started to take photos while waiting for the teachers to settle with the entrance fee. Then, we proceed in the resort for the b i r t h d ay c e l e b rat i o n . We occupied the cottage near by the swimming pool. Students rested for a moment while teachers prepared the food on the table. When everything was ready, all of us sat down and enjoyed eating our wonderful meal.

he saw the very huge statue of Dinosaurs in the heart of the park. We took pictures with those Dinosaurs and other amazing spots in the place. All of us got the chance to see peacocks, monkeys, ostrich and other birds in the zoo which is also inside Kirirom Park.

At 12:20 we all got ready to leave the place. Everyone was smiling as they shouted “goodbye Kirirum!” We arrived the school campus at 2:30. “It’s tiring and hot but I had so much fun!” Ponlork said as he went out from the bus. Kirirom is an amazing place that we have ever gone. It was quiet long trip but worthwhile!

Kite-flying Experience of K 2-A Class

O

n the 23rd day of January, 2010. It was a time to relax, to play together, to watch each other, to talk and teach, to listen and learn. But above all it was time to fly kite for kindergarten students. The activity was held in Koh Pich Island Park, a new real-estate development here in Phnom Penh. The location was wonderful and we were b l e s s e d w i t h p e r fe c t a n d delightful winds. On that day our kids together with their families brought different types, colorful and beautiful

kites. The ambience at the park was conducive for our activity since there's enough space for everyone to roam around and fly their kites, it's also newly built and has a clean surroundings. Even parents enjoyed our activity and played along with their children. The wind blew strong enough, needed for the kites to soar higher, adding more fun for the kids whose flying their kites. Within the duration of two hours from 8 until 10 in the morning, everybody got their daily dose of laughter and fun-filled activity.

That made me reflect back to when I was a child and experienced the fun of flying kites with family and friends .I remember the paper kite that I made and used when I was a c h i l d . We l l , a d v a n c e s i n science, for the most part, have changed all of that. Today’s kites are fixed on the colorful array of beautifully designed kites.

There was one child of mine that brought to my attention, he had a small kite and he was trying to make his kite fly and no matter how he tried, it flew for a second it made loops to the ground. But he never gave

up until his kite flew beautifully! The smile on his face was worth a million dollars. With this 5 year –old boy. We remind a gain the lesson that we have learned before and it was about not giving up. On that boy I found the courage and determination in not giving up.

In deciding to go after of what he wanted.

Kite-flying may sound fun, and it really is, however, it comes along with your body and mind coordination to successfully launch the kite into the sky. Someone needs to be patient, because it usually takes more than one attempt to fly a kite. The virtue of patience is being incorporated in this sense, a child whose learning how to fly his/her first kite, is also learning to be patient until s/he masters the simple but interactive kiteflying activity. Once the child have successfully flown his/her kite, all the struggles of learning how to fly a kite, will be all gone. All you can see, is a happy face filled with contentment and a boost in the child's self-esteem.

FIELD TRIP

New Year Celebration At The Beach On the 1st of January, which is the day that everybody around the world celebrates the ‘new year’, our 12A class went to Kompong Som together with the dormitory teachers. We had planned to leave Phnom Penh at 6:00 am, but it didn’t turn out that way at all. We ended up leaving Phnom Penh at around 7:00 am due to the lateness of some students. Along the way, we stopped and had breakfast at a restaurant. Then we continued until we got to Pich Nil and we stopped there for 10 min. to pray for our safety during the trip and buy some snacks. From Pich Nil to Kompong Som we couldn’t take a nap because Mr.Selmani wanted to listen to the Korean songs "Ring-Ding-Dong" and "Again & Again" from the groups called SHINee and 2PM. At around 12:30 pm we arrived at Kompong Som. Then we made a stop at a petrol station to pick up 2 more of our group. From there, we went to our hotel to put away our things. Then we went to Sokha beach. Unfortunately it was full, so we made our way to O-Chher-Teal beach. When we arrived there the first thing we did was have lunch. Then, we went swimming in the sea which is what we’d all been waiting for.

And then the teacher joined us for a swim and some horsing around in the surf. After that, we rode on the banana boat. At last, the first day of our trip has finished. At around 8:00 pm, we went to Master Suki soup to have

dinner one more time. After we finished dinner, we went straight back to our hotel. During the first night, we couldn’t sleep well because we were thinking of going to Sokha Beach the next day. All of us eventually got to sleep around 2:00 am. So, the next day we finally set foot on Sokha Beach. However, this was thanks to the teachers because they went there at 6:00 am to reserve a place for our group.

Our first task on the second day of our trip was having breakfast.

We went to a little known

restaurant, led by one of our friends, to have a wonderful breakfast. Most of us ordered double portions because we needed the energy for playing at Sokha beach. We stayed at the beach for the whole day. Minute by minute, the fun we were having was increasing until evening that day. Some of us paddled the kayaks and some drove the jet-skis.

In the evening, we had a barbeque at the beach until 8:00 pm. It was so quiet then, but we still had fun there. Some of us sang songs,

some walked up and down the beach. At around 8:30 pm we went back to our hotel.

Then the last day of our trip came. We went back to Phnom Penh at around 9:00 am. On our way back home we listened to a song called ‘Wedding Dress’ around 20 times. Finally, our trip had finished. When we arrived home we were all filled with happiness and the pleasant memories of time spent with our friends.

n February 6, 2010, there was a friendly gathering of ZIS’s teachers and former students for a wonderful dinner at the school’s dining hall as the school held its Alumni Party for 2002 – 2006 graduates this year.

The atmosphere was warm as teachers and friends brought each other up to date about their lives and what they had been up to. Remarkably, some of the alumni who are currently going to college abroad in such countries as Singapore, New Zealand and Turkey, were also present at the dinner. In addition to the delicious food, this special occasion was further marked by the lucky draw game, during which the enthusiastic winners happily received their prizes.

Towards the end of the night, one of the school’s 2002 alumni - Deth Sok Udom - who is currently on the academic staff at ZAMAN University, was invited to make a presentation about the forthcoming opening of the university.

The presentation reported that ZAMAN University will open its doors in October 2010, offering degrees in four faculties: the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Information & Computer Technology, the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and the Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences. What is unique about ZAMAN University is that not only will its medium of instruction be 100 percent in English, but also that it will be the only university in Cambodia which offers full-day education. Accordingly, all students who wish to study at ZAMAN University will be required to pass an English Proficiency Exam, in addition to

a general entrance examination.

In keeping with our desire to provide a world-class education, ZAMAN University Cambodia takes pride in soon offering the best quality education available in the country, aided by highly qualified faculty members (PhDs and PhD candidates) as well as state-of-the-art technology to facilitate and enhance the students’ learning process. To realize this goal, ZAMAN University’s tuition fees range from $2,000 to $4,000 USD, depending on the course of study chosen. The presentation was well received, and was met with pleasant surprise by some students who thought that the establishment of ZAMAN
