SCE 10th Annual Black History Month Celebration

Southern California Edison Celebrated their 10th Annual Black History Month Event in Irwindale. February 6, 2012. I must say they did it again, Edison did it again big time. The event “Connecting the Evolution of Electricity to Back History,” featured keynote speaker Blair Hamilton Taylor, president and CEO of the Los Angeles Urban League for the past five years. Taylor has built upon his organization’s mission to secure economic selfreliance, parity, power and civil rights through advocacy activities, programs and services. There were many awards prevented to well deserved businesses. “At Southern California Edison, they do not simple celebrate AfricanAmerican history. They embrace it by recognizing and supporting the important contributions of AfricanAmerican” this was a statement made by Lisa Cagnolatti, Southern California Edison’s vice president, Customer Service Business Unit’s Business Customer Division.
