PARENTS GET EDUATED TO WHATS GOING ON WITH ALL THESE APPS! THIS THING IS OUT-OF CONTROL! Many parents are unaware what their kids can access and what they are doing when it comes to Social Media (Technology). Seat your kids down and ask them about each of the most dangerous social media apps that will be listed below. Some will educate their parent, but others will not, some feel it is their secret and will ask like they don’t know, which is untrue. The best way for parent to educate them self is to google the apps and know how to have control of what your child is involved in. Many parents are attending social media seminars and learning about the danger being offered to their children, meaning easy exposure to online predators, inappropriate content, and cyber bullying. Parent invest your time in finding out what your children have exposed themselves to.

In speaking to some parent, they have walk-in the bedroom of their child and found them on social media at 4:00 am in the morning. Many other situations, the behavior of the child is getting very upset and talking back to their parent. It has been proven that social media is addicting. Hours and hours of time is wasted on social media. Cell phones should be taken at bedtime. With all the games, social media and internet involvement children are not getting enough sleep at night. School work is affected and if not school work their health, it is so important that children get the proper amount of sleep. We are listing just a few of these dangerous apps and listed the names of the other ones. Google and know what are going on with our teenagers and youth!

(Ask.fm) This app is used for cyber bullying and sexual harassment it’s also used for child predators and for people to actually urge people to commit suicide! This website needs to be taken down!

(Snapchat). Several suicides have been linked to this app, anonymous questions and torment is used on this app. There's also sexual harassment, solicitation for sex happens on this app, by unknown people. This next comment is from a student: Yes, Snapchat is so dangerous. It is awful. I have had someone take a naked pic of me in a locker room and then post it on snapchat to her story where everyone could see it. I was humiliated and I still am! Also, no privacy people can look on maps and track down where you live.

Snapchat is actually a great way to communicate with others if it is used correctly, but some are making it one of the worst apps. (Omegle) when used incorrectly it is ridiculous and unsafe. A warning, please check to see what apps your children are using! This comment was made from a parent; I tried going on once, here's the types of people on Omegle, The Pervert The most common person on here. Some 30-year-old jacking off. The Kiddo: Some 8-year-old looking for girls because, that's what the kids do! The Predators: These are real people and if you see a man over 40 on here instantly close out. They sometimes use videos of girls to lure in little boys "stranger may be using a simulated cam" is a red flag. The Bots: robots putting up ads for other chat sites.

The Real People: Very rarely, you will find a nice person on here to talk to. But this is really rare - It lets you talk to strangers, which is creepy if you think about it. It's basically video chat with strangers. Not such a good idea...

(Kik) Another parent comments, many ignorant teens put their Kik account name on their Instagram bio. This would make them vulnerable to complete strangers and online predators. After what happened to that girl at Virginia tech kik is a very dangerous site for younger kids with no common sense. I think it's safe if you give your Kik to just a small group of friends.

Facebook- Virus found this app and websites, Fake social media App and website. Facebook is a good app if it is used from healthy reasons.

(Tinder) A comment by a parent: Absolutely disgusting app! Lots of marriages have been damaged and or destroyed by this garbage. Lives are ruined by it as well.

This app is of the devil. You can pretend to be anyone and cause only horny people enter there you can guess what things could happen to you. Lord knows I warned you.

(Avakin Life) This game is a haven for pedophiles. Kids are sexed up with provocative clothes and suggestive dances, and exposed to players of all ages, in a dating site format where kids get to present themselves as single, married, divorced, in a relationship, etc., and indicate what gender they are looking for, just like any regular dating site. A 13-year-old can easily befriend a 40 or 50-year-old, invite them to his or her house, get into bed or into a hot tub, and have a conversation in a private chat, with only a censorship program to protect them, which the kids can easily trick. In fact, for them it is a fun challenge to bypass the censorship and be able to curse and talk about sex. Most contests on Avakin are held via Instagram, so kids have an incentive to get an Instagram account, through which they can share photos and all kinds of information. Already a 13-year-old girl was targeted by a pedophile through Avakin life.

(Whisper) You're basically giving your secrets out to strangers, thinking that it's safe. However, the app lets you talk to people near you, making you lose anonymity.

(Tumblr) Comment from a user, I personally really like Tumblr because I only follow blogs that I know are safe. Most of the site is REALLY bad though. Lots of arguments and the userbase has a really aggressive mindset. Be careful when on this site. Many adult contents can be found here. The adventure time fanbase on tumblr will traumatize you!

(Yik Yak) If you have never been to a gossipy college you have no idea how bad it is. This app is used for bullying those who are different or who rubbed the wrong way with some people. They banned names so users make codes, but it is still obvious who they are talking about. Sometimes users write distinguishing features about the target, and it shows hate towards certain groups of people. Horrible! Sounds like an alternative way of spelling Tik Tok. You can anonymously chat with people within 500 meters. This has caused whole schools to face rampant online bullying.

West Valley Water District Transitions to Division-Based Board Member Elections

Contracting with a demographer, the District approved five division boundaries within West Valley Water District. The demographer analyzed population, developer draft maps, and gathered input from ratepayers. Through the process, a series of hearings were held to receive input from the public. Creating districts allows further accountability and stronger representation for all areas within the District.

America needs prayer and love at this time. Our country is so divided; so much crime everywhere; so much bullying in our schools, so much is going on with our country and with the world. Hopefully someone will appreciate what Rev. Howard Rosen, Jr. has written and can apply it and share this article with someone.

I. LOVING ONE ANOTHER REFLECTS CHRIST

(John 13:34-35) A new command I give you: That ye love one another. As I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Christ instructions to the disciples raised the standard for how we treat How we should think of their needs before our own.

Christ told us to love our enemies, not to love how they act, but to love those who are different or those that oppose us.

Christ love working in us is more than words it is action. As Paul says if we don’t have love we are as a clanging cymbals, just noise and empty, meaningless.

Christ love working in us is not selfish, it is understanding, it is forgiving and it will give us the heart that is willing to sacrifice.

II. LOVING ONE ANOTHER COMPLETES THE LAW

Be Like The Palm Tree

(Rom 13:8-9) Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth one another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal... . Love will change our outlook on the law for it is the fulfillment of the whole law.

Palm trees are quite amazing trees! For starters, you can cut it but you can’t kill it. The nutrients that most trees need to survive can be found just below the bark, so when you cut them they die. But not the palm tree; its life comes from its heart so it thrives even under attack.

Don’t let surface issues faze you. Stay focused on what God promised you!

The palm tree bends but it won’t break. Monsoon storms and hurricanes can blow most trees away, but not the palm tree. It’s flexible. It can bend all the way to the ground, and when the storm is over it straightens up again and is actually stronger. You were made to bend, not break. God promises to give you “strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy.” The unfolding of God’s amazing plan for your life will happen as you show your ability to endure.

The palm tree’s depth exceeds its height. While the roots of the average tree go a few feet under, the roots of the palm tree go deep in search of water. David said this about people who trust in God, “They are strong, like a tree planted by a river.” God’s plan for you is to go deep, stay connected to Him, and never be uprooted, or blown away.

If you’re facing attack, or a storm, or a dry season don’t ask ‘Why me?’ instead remember, God has made me like a Palm tree’.

Love will change our heart it is what gives us the power to obey God. III. LOVING ONE ANOTHER IS A RESULT OF SALVATION (1 Pet 1:22) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently. 1 Pet 1:23 Being born again not

of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever.

1. We cannot know how to love until we are born of God. Then we are pure.

2. We cannot love and obey the truth until we are born of God. 3. We cannot carry out the action of love without the Holy Spirit working in us.

IV. LOVING ONE ANOTHER IS AN EVIDENCE OF CHRISTIANITY (1 John 3:14) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

VI. LOVING ONE ANOTHER IS A RESPONSE TO GOD LOVING US

(1 John 4:7-11) Beloved let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. “Love is more than a characteristic of God; it is His character.”

VII. LOVING ONE ANOTHER DEMONSTRATES GOD’S EXISTENCE (1 John 4:12) No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us and His love is perfect in us.

1. If the world is to see God it will be through our love.

2. If we are to have the peace of God it will be because we have His love.

3. If we are to win our loved ones to Christ it will because His love is seen in us.

4. If we are to know this then we will have to draw near to Him and have Him fill our heart with His perfect love.

What Percentage of the Human Brain Is Used?

By Alane Lim You may have heard that humans only use 10 percent of their brain power, and that if you could unlock the rest of your brainpower, you could do so much more. You could become a super genius, or acquire psychic powers like mind reading and telekinesis. However, there is a powerful body of evidence debunking the 10 percent myth. Scientists have consistently shown that humans use their entire brain throughout each day.

Neuropsychology studies how the anatomy of the brain affects someone’s behavior, emotion, and cognition. Over the years, brain scientists have shown that different parts of the brain are responsible for specific functions, whether it’s recognizing colors or problem solving. Contrary to the 10 percent myth, scientists have proven that every part of the brain is integral for our daily functioning, thanks to brain imaging techniques like positron emission tomography and functional magnetic resonance imaging.

Research has yet to find a brain area that is completely inactive.

Even studies that measure activity at the level of single neurons have not revealed any inactive areas of the brain. Many brain imaging studies that measure brain activity when a person is doing a specific task show how different parts of the brain work together. For example, while you are reading this text on your smartphone, some parts of your brain, including those responsible for vision, reading comprehension, and holding your phone, will be more active.

However, some brain images unintentionally support the 10 percent myth, because they often show small bright splotches on an otherwise gray brain. This may imply that only the bright spots have brain activity, but that isn’t the case. Rather, colored splotches represent brain areas that are more active when someone’s doing a task compared to when they’re not.

Yet studies show that damaging even a very small part of the brain may have devastating consequences. In one highly publicized case, a Florida woman permanently lost her “capacity for thoughts, perceptions, memories, and emotions that are the very essence of being human” when a lack of oxygen destroyed half of her cerebrum, which makes up about 85 percent of the brain.

Evolutionary Arguments Another line of evidence against the 10 percent myth comes from evolution.

The adult brain only constitutes 2 percent of body mass, yet it consumes over 20 percent of the body’s energy. In comparison, the adult brains of many vertebrate species–including some fish, reptiles, birds, and mammals–consume 2 to 8 percent of their body’s energy. The brain has been shaped by millions of years of natural selection, which passes down favorable traits to increase likelihood of survival. It is unlikely that the body would dedicate so much of its energy to keep an entire brain functioning if it only uses 10 percent of the brain.

The Origin of the Myth The main allure of the 10 percent myth is the idea that you could do so much more if only you could unlock the rest of your brain. Even with ample evidence suggesting the contrary, why do many people still believe that humans only use 10 percent of their brains? It’s unclear how the myth spread in the first place, but it has been popularized by self-help books, and may even also be grounded in older, flawed, neuroscience studies.

Is Broken Heart Syndrome Real?

When Your Heart Breaks … (Literally).

By Contributor Writer When you think of a broken heart, you may picture a cartoon drawing with a jagged line through it. But a real-life broken heart can actually lead to cardiac consequences. There are established ties between depression, mental health and heart disease. Read on for more information about how an extremely stressful event can have an impact on your heart.

Breakdown of a Broken Heart is Broken heart syndrome, also called stress -induced cardiomyopathy or takotsubo cardiomyopathy, can strike even if you’re healthy. (Tako tsubo, by the way, are octopus traps that resemble the pot-like shape of the stricken heart.)

Women are more likely than men to experience the sudden, intense chest pain, the reaction to a surge of stress hormones that can be caused by an emotionally stressful event. It could be the death of a loved one or even a divorce, breakup or physical separation, betrayal or romantic rejection. It could even happen after a good shock (like winning the lottery.)

Broken heart syndrome may be misdiagnosed as a heart attack because the symptoms and test results are similar. In fact, tests show dramatic changes in rhythm and blood substances that are typical of a heart attack. But unlike a heart attack, there’s no evidence of blocked heart arteries in broken heart syndrome.

In broken heart syndrome, a part of your heart temporarily enlarges and doesn’t pump well, while the rest of your heart functions normally or with even more forceful contractions. Researchers are just starting to learn the causes, and

diagnose and treat it.

The bad news: Broken heart syndrome can lead to severe, short-term heart muscle failure. The good news: Broken heart syndrome is usually treatable.

Most people who experience it make a full recovery within weeks, and they’re at low risk for it happening again (although in rare cases in can be fatal).

The most common signs and symptoms of broken heart syndrome are angina (chest pain) and shortness of breath. You can experience these things even if you have no history of heart disease.

Arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats) or cardiogenic shock also may occur with broken heart syndrome. Cardiogenic shock is a condition in which a suddenly weakened heart can’t pump enough blood to meet the body’s needs, and it can be fatal if it isn’t treated right away. (When people die from heart attacks, cardiogenic shock is the most common cause of death.)

Heart attack and broken heart syndrome: What’s the difference? Some signs and symptoms of broken heart syndrome differ from those of heart attack. In broken heart syndrome, symptoms occur suddenly after extreme emotional or physical stress. EKG (a test that records the heart’s electric activity) results don’t look the same as the EKG results for a person having a heart attack. Blood tests show no signs of heart damage. Tests show no signs of blockages in the coronary arteries. Tests show ballooning and unusual movement of the lower left heart chamber (left ventricle). Recovery time is quick, usually within days or weeks (compared with the recovery time of a month or more for a heart attack).
