Tout commence avec un homme, Alain Thiénot, originaire de Reims, qui choisit de créer sa maison de Champagne éponyme en 1985 épaulé par son épouse Anne. En quelques années, il réussit à inscrire Champagne Thiénot parmi les maisons les plus prestigieuses de la Champagne avec pour devise : « une passion le vin, une obsession l'excellence ».

Entrepreneur dans l’âme, son instinct le guide vers la région de Bordeaux où il acquiert plusieurs châteaux. Sa stratégie est simple mais novatrice : l’association du meilleur de la culture et des traditions de deux régions viticoles emblématiques, Bordeaux et la Champagne.

Sa passion et sa vision, il les transmet à ses deux enfants, Garance et Stanislas, qui ont souhaité s’engager à ses côtés. Elles se retrouvent aussi dans chacune des autres Maisons de Thiénot Bordeaux-Champagnes : CVBG, partenaire des plus grands crus classés ; Canard-Duchêne, située au cœur de la Montagne de Reims à la croisée des terroirs les plus prestigieux de la Champagne ; Dourthe, maison de référence à Bordeaux; Joseph Perrier, emblème de la tradition champenoise ainsi que Kressmann et Delor, fleurons de celle de Bordeaux ; Château de Sérame, l’un des plus beaux noms du Languedoc, jusqu’au Clos de los Siete, réussite exemplaire du nouveau monde dont Thiénot Bordeaux-Champagnes assure la distribution mondiale.

Exploitant de ses propriétés, vinificateur de ses cuvées, Thiénot Bordeaux-Champagnes revendique un savoir-faire unique dans les métiers de la vigne et de la vinification. Créateur de grands vins et de cuvées de prestige, la société trouve ses racines à travers son caractère familial et préserve la personnalité de chaque maison.

It all began with one man, Alain Thiénot, who was originally from Reims in Champagne, and in 1985 created his eponymous Champagne House. In a matter of years, he had firmly established Champagne Thiénot among the true greats of Champagne, driven by one life motto: “One passion : wine; one imperative: excellence”.

A born entrepreneur, his instincts led him to the region of Bordeaux, where he took ownership of several chateaux. His strategy was simple yet innovative: to combine the very best of viticulture and tradition from the two iconic wine regions of Bordeaux and Champagne. This passion and vision have been passed on to his children, Garance and Stanislas, who decided to join the family business in 2003.

It is mirrored also in every company within the Thiénot Bordeaux-Champagnes group: CVBG, partnering the finest Grands Crus Classés; Canard-Duchêne, located at the heart of Montagne de Reims and the meeting point of the most prestigious terroirs in Champagne; Dourthe, one of the most respected Bordeaux producers, recognised as setting the benchmark in winemaking; Joseph Perrier, an icon of Champagne tradition, as well as Kressmann and Delor, two of the leading lights in Bordeaux and Chateau de Sérame, one of the most prestigious names in the Languedoc, not forgetting Clos de Los Siete, a unique success from New World where Thiénot Bordeaux-Champagnes is the world while distributor.
