MOORE AND AUDEN MONTHLY POETRY READINGS 08.03.15, 05.04.15, 03.05.15 + 07.06.15 14.00 / Free / Drop in Drop into the Underground Gallery on the first Sunday of the month to hear a selection of Auden’s poems set amongst the works of Henry Moore.

SPRINGTIME FUN TRAIL 05+06.04.15 / 10.00–16.00 / Free / Drop in Take the self-guided trail around the lakes and woodland to become a young explorer, discovering stories and wildlife as you go.

MAKING IT: FAMILY SCULPTURE WORKSHOP – DO IT YOURSELF! 26+27.05.15 / 10.30 & 13.30 / £2 (suitable for age 6+) Follow in the footsteps of celebrated artists Tony Cragg, Anish Kapoor and Cornelia Parker to create your own sculpture inspired by Making It: Sculpture in Britain 1977–1986.

AN EVENING OF POETRY WITH SIMON ARMITAGE 21.05.15 / 19.00 / £8 Join us for an evening of poetry inspired by Henry Moore: Back to a Land with acclaimed Yorkshire poet Simon Armitage. Following the reading, Armitage will sign copies of the exhibition catalogue which features his new poems.

SCULPTURE SKILLS: RELIEF WAX CASTING 30.05.15 / 10.00–17.00 / £45 (suitable for ages 18+, 16+ considered) Explore the potential of wax in this one-day workshop with artist Liadin Cooke. Learn different techniques of working in wax, including making casts from clay patterns and using the material as the primary medium for creating sculpture.

Return to YSP for an exclusive viewing of current Chapel exhibition, Song for Coal.

BRETTON LAKES, ENTERTAINMENT AND THE AURORA 13.06.15 / 17.30 / £6 Join the YSP Heritage team to discover the stunning viewpoints of the Bretton lakes and the stories surrounding them, including Sir Thomas Wentworth’s ship, The Aurora. Families are invited to finish the day by creating a paper ship to sail down the lake to welcome the arrival of summer.
