Virtual Wine Tasting
You can still drink wine with friends, virtually!
Adjusting to the challenges of connecting with customers during the Covid19 restrictions saw WineNutt launch a 'virtual cellar' for their customers. See their website at https://winenutt.com.au.
The tasting proceeds like a normal wine tasting – except you are able to talk to the winemaker themselves online! Jackie from WineNutt said, "It's important to us to stay connected with our customers and the community and we are really pleased with how the first virtual cellars has gone.” Adam Jacobs, a winemaker for Doc Adams and Retro Wines in McLaren Vale is excited to be a part of the virtual cellars. "WineNutt's approach to reach out to their customers is extremely innovative particularly in this time of consumer and health uncertainty. Our customers over 30 years have always supported our industry by visiting our cellar doors, wine tastings and dinners so now it's time for us to come to them.” He continued, "Equally this is a great forum for wine discussion which is positive and fun, and I urge customers to join in. The wines we have on offer are simply sensational and we offer a wide selection of varietal styles I'm proud of. I look forward to chatting with you in future tastings". Ali, who joined the first virtual wine tasting commented: 'I loved our Virtual Cellar experience. The combination of being able to taste the wine whilst chatting to the wine maker online (especially with the current isolation restrictions) is great. I love that you can join for either one session or a series of six. It’s great as I can gain an understanding of wine from a winemaker and also enjoy the experience with wine lovers from all over the globe.” I didn't order my tasting wine pack in time for the first session however WineNutt were fabulous and suggested I try a bottle of the same type/variety that I already had. The winemaker was so knowledgeable that he was able to talk about the subtle differences between the wine everyone else had and mine!”
