Create a new programming playbook and execute annual programming under the RISE (Relationships, Insights, Self, Experiences) pillars.
Implement spousal engagement plan, improve spouse/partner satisfaction and increase engagement.
Improve our forum experience through increased investment and connectivity, including resources for sustained support, cross forum events, and additional moderator touchpoints for both member and spouse/partner forums.
Implement board proven process for seamless succession of board and staff member.
Recruitment process: proactive recruitment process to attract quality prospects in diverse geographies, increase female membership, and gain clarity on peerdom.

I’m Kyle Gerstner, this year’sYPO Florida Forum Officer, based in Jacksonville. Supporting me is Matt Crum, last year’s Forum Officer, now Assistant Forum Officer, based in Tampa.
Forum season is kicking off, and I want to quickly introduce myself and Matt Crum, outline our goals, and share some important updates.
Together with Bob Davis and Caroline Cheek, we’re here to make sure: Forums run strong and are supported New members are trained and placed within 60 days of training
New Member Placement Process
We keep a ranked list of forums looking for members. Here's how the placement works:
1. Let us know if your forum is looking.
2. When we have a candidate:
We run an internal conflict check with the top forum on the list. If clear, the candidate is reviewed by the forum moderator.
3. If approved:
The member joins on a 6-month trial.
If not a fit, they move to the next forum; the passing forum moves to the bottom of the list.

All members are expected to complete forum training. Spouse/partners are warmly encouraged to attend as well, gaining the same foundation for meaningful connection.This essential program equips you with the tools, norms, and understanding needed to thrive in your forum—and ensures the confidentiality and trust we call Forum Confidential.Training also introduces you to the common language ofYPO and forum, helping every member communicate clearly and consistently.
To protect the integrity of forum, no member can be placed until training is complete. Our chapter’s goal is for every new member to finish Forum Basics within their first 60 days so you can get plugged in and start reaping the full value ofYPO right away.

While racing for the US Rowing Team in Shanghai, China, I was approached by an organizer from the ARF (Asian Rowing Federation). They offered to fly me around to multiple cities throughout China and provide all of the food and accommodations for ~ 1 month while I raced at some promotional events. Against the advice of some of my teammates, I accepted their offer. I traveled around to places I never would have known to look for in mainland China & Japan, tried some of the most interesting food I don’t think I’ll ever see again, shared my love of rowing with people who had never even heard of it before, and so much more.
