Create a new programming playbook and execute annual programming under the RISE (Relationships, Insights, Self, Experiences) pillars.
Implement spousal engagement plan, improve spouse/partner satisfaction and increase engagement.
Improve our forum experience through increased investment and connectivity, including resources for sustained support, cross forum events, and additional moderator touchpoints for both member and spouse/partner forums.
Implement board proven process for seamless succession of board and staff member.
Recruitment process: proactive recruitment process to attract quality prospects in diverse geographies, increase female membership, and gain clarity on peerdom. Clarity of chapter vision and values embedded into the new member process and conveyed in both internal and external communications.

Local Chapter Events - Your Role as Chair
One of the most powerful aspects of YPO Florida is that our best experiences are member-led. The events that resonate most—the ones people talk about for years—are almost always driven by members who step up to day chair and bring their vision to life.
As we build out the upcoming calendar, we’re looking for members who want to take a leadership role in shaping these experiences.
Current Day Chair Opportunities
We have several high-impact events penciled in that need a member champion:
January 2027 – Personal Development Event
April 2027 – Marquee Speaker Event
Day at the Ballpark – Behind-the-scenes with Rays leadership + game experience
December (TBD) – Volunteer Event (potentially with Feeding Tampa Bay)
February 2028 – Family Event
These are strong starting points but they are just that: starting points.

Serving as Event Chair is one of the chapter’s most coveted leadership honors – a rare opportunity to shape an exceptional shared experience for your fellow members and leave a lasting mark on the YPO Florida community.

Select potential retreat dates and decide on a destination that sets the tone for the entire event. Your vision begins here.
● Site Visit
Experience the venue firsthand and confirm it meets the chapter’s standards for excellence
● Supplemental Venues
Book any additional venues needed for activities, dinners, or off-site experiences.
● Program Details
Finalize food & beverage selections, décor direction, and speaker lineup – the elements that make the retreat memorable.
● Guest Experience Touches
Approve welcome bags, name tags, and branded materials that greet members upon arrival
● Final Confirmation
Lock in all logistics, confirm the event timeline, and ensure every detail is in place
● Lead & Celebrate
Deliver the welcome address, host your fellow members, and enjoy the retreat you brought to life.
Collaborate with the Event Director and Chapter Administrator at every stage
Lead venue selection and contract review
Approve event theme, entertainment, and budget
Proof and approve all member-facing communications
Approve food, beverage, and hospitality choices
Deliver the welcome speech to open the retreat
�� Forum season is in full swing! Our mission is simple keep every forum strong, connected, and supported. Working alongside Bob Davis and Caroline Cheek, our goals this year are to:
Ensure forums are running at full strength
Train and place every new member within 60 days of Forum Basics Training
�� New Member Placement
We maintain a ranked list of forums open to new members. Here’s how it works:
1.Let us know if your forum is seeking a member.
2.When a candidate is ready, we complete a conflict check with the top forum on the list.
3.If clear, the moderator reviews the candidate.
4.Upon approval, the new member begins a 6-month trial. If it’s not a fit, the prospect moves to the next forum.
�� Forum Health Survey Reimbursement
Earn $500 per YPO Florida member in your forum when you meet these requirements:
Moderator is trained
All members (including non-Florida YPOers) complete the Forum Health Survey
Funds go directly to a Certified Forum Facilitator (CFF) or outside retreat resource
Payment is made directly to the facilitator/resource
�� Forum Basics: Where It All Begins
Forum is the heart of the YPO experience—and it starts with Forum Basics training. All members are required to complete training before placement, and spouse/partners are encouraged to attend. You’ll learn the language of YPO, build the foundation for Forum Confidential, and gain the skills for meaningful connection. Our chapter goal:
✅ Every new member completes Forum Basics within their first 60 days.
This is the time of year to identify your next Forum Moderator so they can complete required training before stepping into the role. What you need to do: Confirm your next Moderator
