The current system of the Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture of Óbuda University - despite all its efforts - cannot provide a sufficiently motivating environment for scientific and artistic activities outside of training. We sought the reason and solution for this in the framework of a questionnaire survey, in which 60 students and 12 lecturers helped us during the autumn semester. The respondents highlighted the importance of an appropriate creative space (YMDK Labor), the need for a multifunctional workshop platform, and the creation of a surface that serves to display student work. The driving force of all three aforementioned development directions is the motivation of the students. In this way, a community and tradition can be formed that promotes the professional development of students and strengthens the scientific and artistic prestige of the university. To achieve the above-mentioned goals, three development directions have been outlined, which are described in detail in our further research.
