WINFIELD LITTLE LEAGUE — BLUE TEAM | #2 | UTILITY
Energetic, curious, and full of heart, Crew Puterbaugh is one of the youngest and most entertaining players to take the field for the Winfield Little League Blue Team. Wearing number 2, Crew plays utility, bringing enthusiasm and excitement to every inning.
Though this is just his first season playing baseball, Crew has already made memories that his family — and teammates — won’t forget anytime soon. His favorite moment this season came when he hit the ball, ran out to the field, picked up his own hit, and took it to first base proudly shouting, “I got it!” It’s a story that perfectly captures Crew’s fun-loving spirit and one-of-a-kind approach to the game.

A fan of the Atlanta Braves and the alwaysentertaining Savannah Bananas, Crew is inspired by the joy and creativity those players bring to baseball. His favorite “player” isn’t a traditional one, though — it’s Handyman Hal, his biggest role model. “He teaches me how things work and how to fix them,” Crew says, admiring Hal’s ability to turn learning into fun.
When he’s not on the field, Crew enjoys fixing things, fishing, soccer, traveling, and, of course, watching Handyman Hal. His love for learning and exploring shows in everything he does — from figuring out how to repair something to improving his baseball swing.
For Crew, the best part of being on a team is simple: “Playing with friends, hitting the ball, and running fast.” That excitement and teamwork make every game special.
His parents couldn’t be prouder, sharing a message that sums him up perfectly:
“Crew, Mama and Daddy are so proud of you and will forever be your biggest fans! We love you!”
With his bright personality, endless curiosity, and fearless spirit, Crew Puterbaugh reminds everyone that baseball is about more than just winning — it’s about joy, teamwork, and having fun every step of the way.

Energetic, fearless, and always ready to learn, Beckham Canterbury is one of the rising young stars of the Dirty Birds Coach Pitch team in Hurricane, West Virginia. Wearing number 27, Beckham has quickly become known for his enthusiasm, versatility, and love of the game.
Now in his third year of baseball, Beckham’s journey started the moment he saw the sport for the first time. “I always loved it once I saw it,” he says — and that love has only grown stronger each season. His favorite part of this year has been learning new positions, showing that he’s eager to take on any challenge and grow as a well-rounded player.
A proud fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Mike Trout, Beckham looks up to the pros for their dedication and power at the plate. Like his heroes, he gives every play his best effort, no matter where he’s positioned on the field.
Outside of baseball, Beckham is full of energy and adventure. He loves riding his dirt bike, playing outside, and traveling with his family — always finding new ways to explore and have fun. When asked what he loves most about being on a team, Beckham’s answer comes easily: “Making new friends.” His positive attitude and team spirit make him a joy to play alongside.
Beckham’s biggest role models are his Pawpaw and Poppop, who are always there in the stands cheering him on. Their support means the world to him, and their encouragement helps fuel his confidence and love for the sport.
His family couldn’t be prouder, sharing a message that says it all:
“We are so proud of you and how much you’ve grown this season! We love you so much! — Mom, Dad, Wynslow & Tillie.”
With his heart, hustle, and infectious enthusiasm, Beckham Canterbury is a young athlete who reminds everyone what baseball is all about — teamwork, fun, and family.

Powerful, passionate, and unstoppable, DeLucca “Lucca Bear” Vaughn is a name that stands out on the field for the Hurricane B Team. Wearing number 2, Lucca takes on the challenge of playing both running back and linebacker, proving that he’s not only versatile but a true leader on both sides of the ball.
Now in his fifth year of football, Lucca’s hard work and love for the game have earned him a spot starting on Varsity — on both offense and defense — while playing up an age division. It’s a major accomplishment that shows just how far his dedication and determination have taken him.
His favorite part of being on the team? “Everything,” Lucca says without hesitation. “Football is the greatest sport there ever was. Coach Kenny makes us work hard, and we’ve learned so much this year. Can’t wait to win the ship!” That drive and competitive spirit reflect the same energy seen in his favorite player, Derrick Henry, known for his power, grit, and leadership — traits Lucca is already developing himself.
Off the field, Lucca enjoys riding his bike, fishing, and hanging out with friends, showing the same enthusiasm and curiosity that he brings to every game and practice. His favorite team, Ohio State, inspires him to dream big and play with pride for his hometown of Hurricane, West Virginia.
When it comes to role models, Lucca doesn’t have to look far. “My dad. He’s really just the best there is — in everything he does. I hope I can be just like him someday.”
His family’s pride shines in their message to him:
“Lucca Bear — You continue to exceed our expectations daily! From the classroom to the football field or basketball court, you give 100% in everything you do. You’ve always had the heart of a lion, and we love watching you chase your dreams!”
With his heart, hustle, and leadership, DeLucca Vaughn is proving that greatness isn’t just about talent — it’s about effort, attitude, and the love of the game.

HURRICANE LITTLE LEAGUE- THE MARLINS | # 26 | UTILITY
Determined, fearless, and full of energy, Oaklee Lyons is making big strides for the Hurricane Little League Marlins. Wearing number 26, Oaklee has proven that no matter where her coach puts her, she gives it her all — and her growth this season has been nothing short of inspiring.
Though she just started playing baseball in the spring of this year, Oaklee has been swinging a bat and catching a ball since she could walk. That early start has turned into a real love for the game — and it’s paying off in a big way. Her favorite moment from this season came when she swung for the fences and sent the ball soaring over the coach and into the outfield, earning cheers from both the home and away teams. “It was a rocket of a hit,” her family said proudly, “and seeing her confidence and skill grow makes our hearts happy.”
A huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and Marcell Ozuna, Oaklee brings that same energy and passion to every game. She’s a true team player who thrives on making new friends and celebrating her teammates’ successes just as much as her own.
When she’s not on the diamond, Oaklee stays active in plenty of ways. She’s been in gymnastics since she was just 18 months old, and she loves hunting and fishing with her mom and dad, showing that her love for adventure extends beyond the field.
Her biggest role model is her mom, who she looks up to for her strength, love, and fun spirit. “She loves her and plays with her babies — all the things she’s learned from her mommy,” her family shared.
Her parents’ message sums her up perfectly:
“Oaklee, you never cease to amaze us. You’re so smart and can do anything you set your mind to. Always remember to try hard and never give up — you’re going to do great things!”

With her talent, determination, and bright spirit, Oaklee Lyons is already showing what it means to play with heart — and her journey is only just beginning
