COLLABORATION CELEBRATES REGION’S YOUNG ATHLETES THROUGH SPECIAL FAN EXPERIENCE EVENTS

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics has announced a partnership with Youth Nation Magazine, further strengthening the bond between the Thundering Herd and young athletes across the region.

Through its partnership with the magazine, Marshall Athletics will host eight fan experience events in various sports per year, which provide Youth Nation's monthly featured athletes an opportunity to attend Marshall sporting events as honored guests.

The first of these fan experience events is scheduled for April 2026.

This opportunity and others like it continue with Marshall's vision within its 'Herd Mentality' in which the pillars include Engaging With Purpose within the community and Dedicating To Others by investing in those in the community through service and support.

"We are ecstatic about this partnership with Youth Nation Magazine, which continues to build the great bond that Marshall Athletics has within its community," said Ryan Crisp, Marshall University's Associate Athletic Director of Revenue Generation.

"Youth Nation Magazine does a great job of highlighting athletes throughout our area. Being able to collaborate with them for unique fan experience opportunities gives us the ability to inspire the next generation while providing meaningful Marshall Moments that will last a lifetime."

Nick Chapman, founder of Youth Nation, said the partnership with Marshall Athletics brings a level of excitement and inspiration that young athletes will remember for the rest of their lives.

"Marshall University means so much to families across our region," Chapman said. "For these young athletes to walk into a Marshall event not just as fans, but as honored guests, is something they will never forget. The power that Marshall Athletics brings to the youth sports community goes far beyond the game — it creates moments, memories, and motivation that can shape a young athlete's future."

An added benefit to the partnership is that Marshall Athletics will have some of its own studentathletes featured within Youth Nation Magazine, which allows readers to learn more about the journey of their favorite athletes who represent the Herd.

Youth Nation Magazine is a community-driven publication focused on highlighting youth athletes and the positive influence of sports in their lives. Each issue features local players, their accomplishments, and the stories behind their dedication, while also bringing together families, schools, and local businesses to support and encourage youth athletics.

The fast-growing magazine currently highlights all the great athletes within our region through four separate editions: the River Cities Edition, the Kanawha Valley Edition, the Greater Teays Edition and the Knights Edition. The overall footprint of the magazine is currently more than 50,000 people.

Taylor has spent the last 13 years building a love for the game that continues to grow stronger every season. Now a sophomore, John is already making his mark in a big way— earning a starting spot on his school’s varsity team, a milestone that reflects both his dedication and determination.

Wearing number 26, John plays a key role on the field as both a midfielder and defender, bringing versatility and effort to every match. Whether he’s controlling the pace in the middle or locking things down defensively, he approaches the game with a team-first mindset. For John, the best part of being on a team is the shared pursuit of a goal—learning how to work together, trust one another, and accomplish something bigger than yourself.

John’s journey in soccer is rooted in consistency and passion. Over the years, he’s developed not only his skills but also his character, shaped by the influence of his biggest role model—his dad. “He works hard to make sure that we have everything we need or want,” John says, a value that clearly carries over into his own work ethic on and off the field.

Off the pitch, John enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s swimming, kayaking, fishing, or camping —activities that reflect his love for adventure and staying active. When it comes to teams he supports, he proudly cheers for Marshall University, staying connected to the local sports scene.

Playing with Club Ohio United, John continues to sharpen his game and push himself to new levels. With his drive, humility, and commitment to growth, he’s not just earning playing time—he’s building a foundation for a strong future in the sport.

As he continues to develop, one thing is clear: John Cael Taylor isn’t just playing the game—he’s putting in the work to leave his mark.

PLAYER PROFILE

From Hurricane, West Virginia, Dawson Ragle is the kind of athlete who lights up every gym, field, and mat she steps on. Whether it’s dance, cheer, basketball, or volleyball, Dawson brings energy, excitement, and a willingness to try anything —and that fearless attitude is already paying off.

In her first year playing both basketball and volleyball, Dawson has quickly found her rhythm. One of her favorite moments this season came on the basketball court, when she made her very first shot—an achievement that reflects her growing confidence and determination. As a guard in basketball, a server in volleyball, and a flyer in cheer, Dawson embraces every role with enthusiasm and a teamfirst mindset.

Her athletic journey is built on a love for movement and expression. With two years of experience in both dance and cheer, Dawson has developed coordination, strength, and confidence that carry over into everything she does. Outside of organized sports, she stays active with gymnastics and enjoys spending time playing with her squishies, showing a fun and creative side that balances her competitive spirit.

For Dawson, being part of a team is all about connection. “Being with my best friends” is what she loves most, and it’s clear that the relationships she builds are just as important as the games she plays. She also draws inspiration from her favorite player, Caitlin Clark, and looks up to country artist Lainey Wilson, whose music she loves.

Cheering on Marshall and representing teams like HYFL, Aces, and Triple Hits in the Putnam Youth Volleyball League, Dawson continues to grow as a multi-sport athlete. With her positive attitude, willingness to learn, and joy for the game, Dawson Ragle is just getting started— and she’s already making every moment count.

PLAYER PROFILE

From Hurricane, West Virginia, Brady Cremeans is quickly making a name for himself as a reliable and driven young athlete on the basketball court. Wearing number 30 and playing guard, Brady brings energy, focus, and a growing confidence to every game he plays.

One of his favorite moments this season perfectly captures who he is as a player. With the game on the line, Brady hit the winning shot to secure the victory for his team. But for him, the best part wasn’t just the basket—it was what came after. As his teammates rushed over to celebrate together, it reminded him why he loves the game: the shared joy, the teamwork, and the bond built through competition.

Brady first picked up basketball because it looked fun, but over the years, that curiosity has grown into a true passion. Now, he thrives on improving every time he steps on the court, always looking to sharpen his skills and become the best player he can be. Inspired by his favorite player, Stephen Curry, Brady models his game after one of the best shooters in basketball, bringing confidence and determination to his role as a guard.

Off the court, Brady enjoys spending time with his family, riding bikes with friends, and staying grounded in his faith by going to church. Those influences play a big role in shaping not just the athlete he is, but the person he’s becoming. His biggest role model is his dad, someone he looks up to for constant encouragement and support in chasing his dreams.

Playing for the HABL 5th Grade All-Stars, Brady understands that success comes from working together and lifting each other up. Whether it’s celebrating a game-winning shot or cheering on a teammate, he knows that basketball is about more than just points—it’s about unity.

With his dedication, positive attitude, and love for the game, Brady Cremeans is building something special—one shot, one game, and one team moment at a time.

PLAYER PROFILE

From Hurricane, West Virginia, Isaiah Cremeans is a young athlete learning the game, building confidence, and making the most of every opportunity on the court. Wearing number 23 and playing guard, Isaiah brings energy and heart to his team, embracing each moment as a chance to grow.

One of his favorite memories this season came when he let a three-point shot fly—even when he wasn’t sure it would go in. When the ball dropped through the net and his teammates erupted in cheers, it became a moment he won’t forget. It wasn’t just about the shot—it was about believing in himself and sharing that excitement with his team.

Isaiah’s journey into basketball started a few years ago, inspired by watching his big brother play. That influence sparked a passion that continues to grow as he develops his skills and understanding of the game. He looks up to basketball legend Michael Jordan, modeling his mindset after one of the greatest to ever play.

Off the court, Isaiah enjoys spending time with friends and family and staying active in his faith by going to church. Those close relationships play a big role in shaping who he is, both as a player and as a person. His dad is his biggest role model, someone he admires for being kind, loving, and fun—qualities Isaiah strives to reflect in his own life.

Playing for the HABL 3rd Grade All-Stars, Isaiah values what it means to be part of a team. For him, it’s about making new friends, supporting one another, and growing together through every practice and game.

With a strong foundation, a love for the game, and confidence that continues to rise, Isaiah Cremeans is just getting started—and his future on the court is full of promise.

PLAYER PROFILE

From Scott Depot, West Virginia, Jamison Pack is a young athlete whose love for basketball started long before organized games ever began. From dunking on a mini hoop as a toddler to competing with the Winfield YBL 4th Grade All-Stars, Jamison has turned that early passion into a growing presence on the court.

Wearing number 30 and playing forward, Jamison brings energy, effort, and a positive attitude to every game. One of his favorite moments this season came with a 3rd place finish in the Winfield All-Star League—a testament to the hard work he and his teammates put in together. But for Jamison, success isn’t just measured by wins and standings. It’s about enjoying the game, improving every day, and sharing the experience with his team.

That team-first mindset shows in how he approaches the game. Jamison loves having fun, making new friends, and being the kind of teammate others can count on. Whether it’s practice or game day, he consistently brings a smile and a willingness to give his best effort— something his family is especially proud of.

Inspired by his favorite player, Stephen Curry, Jamison admires the way he shoots and plays with confidence. But his biggest influence goes beyond basketball. He also looks to Jesus Christ as a role model, striving to reflect love, kindness, and positivity in everything he does—both on and off the court.

Outside of basketball, Jamison stays active and creative. He enjoys collecting sports cards, playing video games, and using his musical talents to drum at his church. These interests round out a well-balanced athlete who values both competition and character.

With a strong foundation, a love for the game, and a heart for others, Jamison Pack continues to grow as both a player and a teammate. No matter the scoreboard, he plays the game the right way—and that’s what truly sets him apart.

PLAYER PROFILE

In Hurricane, West Virginia, Jamison Runion is just getting started—but already showing what youth sports are all about. As a member of Hurricane Youth Wrestling, Jamison has spent his first year in the sport discovering not just the basics of competition, but the deeper value of being part of a team.

For Jamison, the highlight of the season wasn’t a medal or a match—it was something even more meaningful: making friends. That simple answer says a lot about the kind of athlete he is. While wrestling teaches discipline, strength, and focus, Jamison has embraced the relationships and fun that come with being part of something bigger than himself.

Off the mat, Jamison stays active with a wide range of interests. Whether it’s playing baseball, football, or spending time with his sister, he brings the same energy and enthusiasm into everything he does. That well-rounded approach helps build not only a better athlete, but a strong teammate and person.

When asked about the best part of being on a team, Jamison kept it simple—having fun. That mindset is what youth sports are truly about at this stage: learning, growing, and enjoying the journey. It’s clear that Jamison is doing exactly that.

Like many young athletes, Jamison looks up to his dad as his biggest role model. That influence shows in his attitude and approach, as he continues to learn the importance of effort, character, and enjoying every moment along the way.

As a proud supporter of Marshall athletics and a young competitor finding his footing in wrestling, Jamison Runion represents the heart of youth sports—where success isn’t just measured in wins, but in growth, friendships, and a love for the game that’s just beginning.
