In her very first year of cheer, Kadynce Rose has already discovered what makes the sport so special — energy, growth, and a whole lot of heart. Representing Fairland Little League Cheer and Tumble World, Kadynce stepped into the gym simply because, as she says with a smile, “I love cheer.” That simple passion has quickly turned into confidence, skillbuilding, and unforgettable memories.
Her favorite moment this season wasn’t about a trophy or a big performance — it was learning to tumble. For Kadynce, mastering new skills has been the most exciting part of her journey. As a base, she plays an important role on her team, bringing strength, balance, and reliability to every routine. Even without a jersey number or favorite pro team to cheer for, she brings plenty of spirit to the mat.
Off the mat, Kadynce stays just as active. She loves tumbling even outside of practice, enjoys horseback riding, and spends time hanging out with her dogs. Whether she’s in the barn, at home, or at practice with her teammates, her energy never slows down.
When asked about the best part of being on a team, Kadynce keeps it simple: “Having fun and learning new things with my friends.” That excitement for both friendship and growth shows every time she steps into the gym. She also looks up to her biggest role models — her coaches, Ashley and Jill — because, as she says, “They teach me a lot and are nice.” Their guidance has helped her build not only skills, but confidence.
With just one year in cheer and a love for the sport that keeps growing, Kadynce Rose is already making her mark. If her enthusiasm and dedication are any indication, this is only the beginning of a bright cheer journey ahead.

In just one year of wrestling, Ridge Nay has already shown what dedication and heart can accomplish. Competing with Fairland Youth Wrestling – the Dragons, Ridge stepped onto the mat after discovering he loved wrestling around with his brother and friends for fun. That playful competition quickly turned into a true passion. As he puts it, “I love wrestling live.”
This season gave Ridge a moment he’ll never forget — winning the 6U 51 lb Tristate Youth League Wrestling Championship. The victory was a highlight, but what stands out even more is the work ethic that carried him there. Strong, determined, and focused, Ridge continues to push himself to improve every time he steps on the mat.
A fan of standout wrestler Aaron Brooks and supporter of powerhouse programs like Ohio State and Penn State, Ridge looks up to athletes who compete with intensity and discipline. He brings that same drive to his own matches while proudly representing the Dragons.
Outside of wrestling, Ridge stays active by playing soccer and football and spending time with friends and family. But no matter the sport, teamwork means everything to him. “I love to watch my friends and cheer them on,” he says — a reminder that being a great teammate goes beyond personal wins.
When asked about his biggest role model, Ridge doesn’t hesitate: his dad. “He teaches me about sports and how to work hard.” That daily example of commitment and perseverance is shaping not only Ridge’s athletic journey, but his character as well.
With a championship already under his belt and a love for competition that continues to grow, Ridge Nay is just getting started. If this first year is any indication, the Dragons’ mat will be seeing plenty more determination — and celebration — from this young wrestler in the seasons ahead.

At just seven years old, Corbyn Hoke is already learning that true strength doesn’t just come from muscles — it comes from faith, character, and the way you treat others.
Competing with Fairland Youth Wrestling and also playing football, baseball, and basketball, Corbyn understands what it means to be part of a team. While wrestling may seem like an individual sport, he has discovered something deeper through competition: brotherhood. “Teamwork and becoming a family” is the biggest lesson sports has taught him so far. Win or lose, he knows he’s not alone.
Corbyn’s favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 27:17 — “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” — reflects exactly how he approaches both faith and athletics. He believes teammates are meant to build each other up. When someone is down, Corbyn makes it his mission to lift them up and pray for them. For him, encouragement isn’t optional — it’s part of being a leader, no matter your age.

His faith plays a daily role in how he lives. Corbyn believes faith isn’t just something you think about quietly; it’s something you show. Through serving others, practicing kindness, building community, and striving to live by God’s teachings, he demonstrates that his walk with Christ goes beyond Sunday mornings. On the mat and off, he aims to let his actions speak.
He credits Coach Adam Fuller, along with his Nana and Papa, for helping guide and encourage his faith journey. Their influence reminds him that the strongest competitors are those who keep their hearts grounded.
Corbyn leaves readers with this message:
“Team, let’s remember to encourage each other and build each other up, as we are all working together for a greater purpose. May our unity in Christ shine through in how we serve each other today.”
Even at seven years old, Corbyn Hoke shows that when faith leads the way, every practice, match, and moment becomes part of something bigger than the scoreboard.

C TEAM FAIRLAND CHEERLEADING
Energetic, kind, and full of spirit, Autumn Hoke is lighting up the sidelines as a proud member of the Fairland C-Team Cheerleading squad. At just 8 years old, Autumn is already showing incredible dedication and heart in everything she does — both on and off the field.
Now in her third year of cheerleading, Autumn has found her passion in bringing energy and encouragement to her team. One of her favorite memories from this season was earning the top award in cheer — a moment that reminded her how hard work and a positive attitude can truly shine.
When asked who her favorite player is, Autumn didn’t hesitate: her teammates. She loves being part of a close-knit group that supports one another and says the best part of cheer is “helping friends and my team, including me.” That team spirit is what makes her such an important part of Fairland Cheerleading.
Off the mat, Autumn enjoys hanging out with her friends and spending time with family, who she credits for always being there for her. Her biggest role model is her mom, who inspires her with love, strength, and support every single day.
Her parents couldn’t be prouder, sharing this heartfelt message:
“Autumn, mommy and daddy are very proud of you and everything you do in life. You’ve come such a long way and are so independent.”
With her bright smile, caring heart, and unstoppable spirit, Autumn Hoke is the definition of what it means to cheer — lifting others up, spreading positivity, and giving her all in everything she does.

March brings a new season — fresh starts, higher expectations, and bigger moments. But along with the excitement comes pressure. Tryouts, starting spots, close games, and split-second decisions can feel overwhelming. The real question isn’t whether pressure will come — it’s how we respond when it does.
Second Timothy 1:7 reminds us, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” Pressure often feeds fear. Faith feeds focus. Athletes compete physically, but they also compete mentally. The voice that whispers, “Don’t mess this up,” can be louder than the crowd. Faith quiets that voice and replaces it with truth: your value isn’t defined by one play, one mistake, or one scoreboard.
Many athletes prepare with routines — the same warm-up or playlist — but some of the strongest preparation happens in a quiet moment of prayer. Philippians 4:6–7 encourages us to bring our anxiety to God and promises peace in return. That peace doesn’t remove nerves; it steadies them. Instead of competing from fear, you compete from confidence rooted in Christ.
Pressure also grows when we play for the wrong audience. Colossians 3:23 reminds us to work with all our heart as if working for the Lord. When you compete for Him, effort matters more than stats, character matters more than applause, and integrity matters more than trophies.
And when seasons don’t go as planned — through injuries or setbacks — faith anchors us. Romans 8:28 promises that God works even difficult moments for good. What feels like a setback may be preparation for something greater.
This March, train your spirit as faithfully as your body. Pray before you compete. Encourage a teammate. Reflect on your character as much as your performance. The scoreboard will fade, but the faith you build under pressure will last long after the season ends.

IFrom Proctorville, Ohio, Aker Nay may be new to wrestling, but he’s already proving that heart and determination aren’t measured by years of experience. Competing with Fairland Youth League Wrestling in the 74 kg division, this young athlete has jumped into his first season with toughness, excitement, and a big smile.
Inspired to follow in the footsteps of his big brother, Aker decided this year to step onto the mat — and he hasn’t looked back. His favorite moment so far? Winning his very first open wrestling tournament at his dad’s home gym in Ravenswood. It was a special victory that showed just how quickly he’s learning and growing in the sport.
A fan of Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs and the Ohio State Buckeyes, Aker is already studying great wrestlers and dreaming big. But beyond wins and medals, what makes Aker stand out is the joy he brings to his team. The best part of wrestling for him isn’t just the matches — it’s hanging out and snacking with his friends between bouts, building friendships that make each competition even more fun.
Outside of wrestling, Ridge stays active by playing soccer and Off the mat, Aker enjoys playing with his friends and his favorite toys, balancing the hard work of competition with the carefree energy of being a kid. When asked about his biggest role model, his answer is simple and sincere: “My big brother. I want to do what he does.” That admiration fuels his effort and keeps him motivated to improve each practice.
In his very first year, Aker Nay has already shown that courage means trying something new, toughness means sticking with it, and fun is just as important as victory. With his positive attitude and strong support system, this “little man” is just getting started on what promises to be an exciting wrestling journey.
