Blakely Koebel brings leadership, toughness, and a competi to the softball field every time she steps between the Representing Alpha Academy Softball-Petry, the Hurricane Virginia native wears jersey number 12 and contributes wherever her team needs her most, whether it's behind the plate at catcher, in the infield at shortstop, or at first base.

Blakely's softball journey began five years ago while cheering on her older sister, Kendall, at the ballpark. As a dedicated "ball field sister," she spent countless hours watching games and quickly decided she wanted to be on the field herself. Since then, her passion for the sport has continued to grow.

One of her favorite memories this season came during Alpha Academy's first 9U tournament championship. Facing a talented opponent, Blakely played a key role behind the plate, throwing out multiple runners and helping her team secure the victory. Moments like that showcase the determination and confidence she brings to every game.

When asked about the best part of being on a team, Blakely doesn't hesitate. She loves spending time with her best friends, celebrating big wins, enjoying hotel stays during tournaments, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. Those friendships make the game even more special. Off the field, Blakely enjoys basketball, swimming, riding her bike, spending time outdoors, and playing with friends. She looks up to Texas catcher Reese Atwood as her favorite softball player and proudly cheers for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

With her strong work ethic, versatility, and love for the game, Blakely Koebel continues to make an impact for Alpha Academy while building memories that will last a lifetime.

One of Brinley's favorite memories this season was a moment sh will never forget—hitting her first player-pitch home run. accomplishment was the result of countless hours of practi hard work, making it a milestone that highlighted her growth player and boosted her confidence at the plate.

For Brinley, softball is about much more than wins and los friendships with her teammates and cheering one another culture she enjoys so much.

When she's not on the softball field, Brinley enjoys atten with her dad. She is also a fan of Marshall University Softball and the Chicago Bandits.

Brinley looks up to Ava Blake as her biggest role model. As her "Big Sis" from Marshall University, Ava has encouraged Brinley to be the best version of herself both on and off the field. Brinley also lists Ava Blake and Synd Burko among her favorite softball players.

With her strong work ethic, love for the game, and commitment to her teammates, Brinley Spurlock continues to grow as a player while pursuing her softball dreams one game at a time.

With years of experience already behind her and a bright future ahead, Emma Frye continues to make her mark on the softball field while inspiring those around her through her dedication, character, and love for the game.

Kylee Potter has quickly become a player who thrives when t pressure is at its highest.The Greenup, Kentucky nat last four years developing her softball skills, and her helped her become an important contributor for Alpha Acade Softball-Petry. Wearing jersey number 36, Kylee makes an impact as both a pitcher and first baseman.

Inspired by her parents and friends to begin playing softball, Kylee quickly fell in love with the game. Her hard work and determination were on full display during one of her favorite memories from this season—her first tournament with Alpha Academy. Not only did the team win the championship, but Kylee played a major role in the title run by pitching 10 innings, allowing just three hits, and recording an impressive 21 strikeouts.

Her tournament heroics didn't stop there. During pool play against the Mountain Mambas, the game was tied in the bottom of the final inning with two outs. Kylee delivered a clutch single, then stole second, third, and home to score the winning run and secure the victory for her team.

For Kylee, one of the best parts of softball is the bond she shares with her teammates. She enjoys spending weekends together, competing as a group, and doing whatever it takes to help the team succeed.Those friendships and shared experiences make every win even more meaningful.

When she's not on the field, Kylee enjoys spending time with family and friends and going shopping. She is a fan of Marshall Athletics and lists AndiJo Howard as her favorite player. Kylee's biggest role models are her mom and dad. She credits them for constantly encouraging her, supporting her dreams, and helping provide opportunities to pursue the sport she loves.

With her competitive spirit, leadership, and ability to rise to the occasion in big moments, Kylee Potter continues to make her mark for Alpha Academy and is building a bright future both on and off the softball field.

Who are you? Are you what you do? A cheerleader, a goalie, a linebacker? Or are you what you have achieved? MVP, Honor Roll Student, a Winner? Are you the things you have done right? Or defined by the things you've done wrong? What about what others think? Are you all of that? None of that? Who are you?

Finding your Identity

As a young person it is often hard to know who you are. You are trying to find your own identity, but are you looking the right places? Many young athletes define themselves by their sport, their role in the team or how good they are in that position. School, sports and friends are all amazing things and can be great in your life, however these are not all the things that define you. There is a more important calling to your life, a call from God who created you, who loves you and who helps you reach your purpose in this life. The world feeds you other “purposes” but when you push that away and allow God to show you what you were made for, you begin to know yourself more.

Your Identity in Christ

The bible often reminds us of who we are, a beloved creation of God. In the New Testament, identity in Christ is mentioned A LOT. We are told that we are created and chosen by God to follow Jesus as disciples. Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Jesus was sent to take our sin, so that we could be redeemed and be the righteousness of God that we were created to be. By following Jesus and obeying Jesus’ command from John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Our main purpose in Christ is to share the gospel and the love of Jesus to all that we can.

Purpose as a New Creation

When we accept our purpose, given to us from God in Christ, we begin to be a new creation, like stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Following your purpose as a new creation in Christ means you should pursue Him in all things. If you want to follow God’s will for your life, do these three things:

1. Know God- An experiential knowledge, not just Bible trivia, experience God’s Presence and get to know Him. Knowing God will make you wiser and clearer on your purpose.

2.Be Transformed- as said best by John Ortberg, “God’s primary will for your life is not so much about what you do but who you become.”

3.Do Good- as Micah 6:8 says “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Morgan Petry's softball journey began the same way many young athletes discover their passion—by spending time at the Growing up watching her older brother play baseball, Morgan developed a love for the game and decided she wanted to step onto the field herself. Now in her fourth year of softball, the Hurricane, West Virginia native is making her own memories as a key player for Alpha Academy Softball-Petry.

Wearing jersey number 5, Morgan contributes at both second base and center field, bringing energy, athleticism, and a positive attitude to her team. One of her favorite moments from this season came when she crushed a deep line drive to the fence in right-center field, racing around the bases for an RBI triple. The exciting play showcased her hard work and confidence at the plate while helping her team in a big moment.

For Morgan, some of the best memories in softball come from the friendships built along the way. She says the best part of being on a team is the close bonds that develop from spending so much time together. Those relationships have helped make her experience with Alpha Academy both rewarding and fun.

When she's not playing softball, Morgan enjoys building with Legos and playing basketball. She is a fan of WVU Women's Basketball and admires Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuña Jr. for his talent and excitement on Morgan's biggest role model is her older brother, Andrew. She looks up to him because of his success in school, dedication to baseball, and strong work ethic both on the field and at his part-time job. His example has inspired Morgan to work hard and strive to be her best in everything she does.

With her love for the game, commitment to her teammates, and determination to keep improving, Morgan Petry continues to grow as both an athlete and a young leader. As she creates more memorable moments on the diamond, her future in softball looks brighter than ever.

came after moving up to player pitch. During a recent game, Navy recorded two outs in the same inning by catching back-to-back pop flies in the outfield, a moment she proudly remembers as one of her biggest accomplishments of the year.

When she's not playing softball, Navy stays active with basketball and volleyball. She also enjoys creative activities and loves spending time outdoors during the summer camping, kayaking, and fishing on the Greenbrier River.

One of the things Navy values most about sports is the friendships that come with being part of a team. She enjoys seeing her teammates at practices each week and loves the fun they have together while traveling to tournaments and spending time together between games.

Navy's favorite athlete is Sophie Cunningham, and she cheers for the Texas Longhorns. However, her biggest role models are much closer to home. She looks up to her parents because of their strong work ethic, encouragement, and the example they set every day. They have taught her the importance of working hard even when no one is watching and always treating others with kindness.

With her dedication, positive attitude, and love for her teammates, Navy continues to make an impact both on and off the softball field. As she grows as an athlete, there's no doubt she will keep making big plays and creating lasti memories along the way

For Olivia Shuff of Hurricane, West Virginia, softball ha important part of her life for the past five years. Thr dedication, and a love for the game, she has continued to grow as a player while making lasting friendships along the way.

Olivia plays second base and outfield for Alpha Softball Academy –Petry, where she wears jersey number 7. Whether she's making plays in the field or supporting her teammates from the dugout, Olivia brings energy and encouragement to every game. One of her favorite memories from this season came at the May Madness tournament when her team captured the Gold Bracket Championship. Celebrating that achievement alongside her teammates made the victory even more special and created a memory she will never forget.

Outside of softball, Olivia enjoys playing basketball and staying active year-round.When asked about the best part of being on a team, her answer was simple: friendship. The relationships she has built with her teammates are one of the reasons she loves sports so much.
