What is it?
Regional Reset is a program for young people aged 8 to 17. It helps you take a break, get support, and make changes that help you move forward in life.


Regional Reset is funded by the Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support, under the Queensland Government’s Making Queensland Safer plan.


Who’s it for?
Young people who:
• Want to make positive changes
• Need a break from tough situations

• Want to reconnect with family, school or community
Moreton Bay
Weekend Workshops are held at PCYC Bornhoffen.
Rockhampton
Weekend Workshops are held at PCYC Capricorn Coast.
Ongoing support will be held in your home, school and community.


What happens?
Go away for a few short stays with other young people, your family and other important people in your life.
Try fun activities like sport, adventure and teamwork.
Talk about what’s going on in your life.
Learn how your brain works and how to handle stress or anger.
Set goals for school, work or life.
Get support from peer mentors who’ve been there too.

Support
The type of support you’ll get includes:
• A peer mentor who checks in with you regularly.
• A case worker who helps you find the right services.
• Meetings with your family, carers and other important people in your life.
• Group catch-ups after the program to stay connected.

How do I join?
To join Regional Reset, please talk to your:
• Family or carer

• School
• Police, Child Safety, Co-Responder, Youth Justice or another service
They can fill out a referral form with you.
Regional Reset is run by the Youth Insearch Foundation. Youth Insearch is a peer-led organisation supporting young people to recover from trauma and improve mental health.
For over 40 years, we’ve delivered evidencebased programs co-designed and led by young people with lived experience. Our traumainformed model includes workshops, support groups, and individual support, with trained Peer Leaders fostering trust, resilience, and early intervention. Scan the QR code to learn more:
