To those of you who are already champions for Youth for Christ, we thank you sincerely and deeply for investing in young people. If you haven’t yet considered being a part of our ministry, we welcome you to explore the many ways to serve in your own backyard!

“I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last.”
So if you ' re feeling called to do something new and significant with your life, consider reaching out to kids who need Jesus. You may be surprised at just how much difference you can make.

Our volunteers and supporters are truly missionaries, making a lasting difference in teens' lives every day by sharing the Good News of Jesus. Our volunteers consistently tell us that their service is as much a blessing to them, as it is to our youth. Whether they are sharing their financial gifts, mentoring a teen or playing a fun game with a small group, our partners are champions who are lifting up the next generation.
Tia Diaz-Balart Executive Director
Have you ever considered how your life might be different if someone had invested in you when you were young? Youth for Christ knows the difference one adult makes. I want to invite you to make a lasting impact in the life of a young person. When we invest in young people, we ' re investing in the future.
OUR OWN BACKYARDS John 15:16

One boy was antagonistic about God all week. On the final day, he stood up and shared with the entire camp that he had encountered God during the week.
Camp is one of the most memorable and transformational times for many youth, and this summer was no exception. Here are a few highlights.
A young man opened up about domestic violence at home. He is safe now but had been keeping the pain a secret. With his cabin small group, he shared through his tears, “I’ve never told anyone about this before.”

One of our youth has struggled with self harm and experienced real freedom this year through her relationship with Jesus. A camp leader asked if she would reach out to a girl struggling with similar issues. Our Miami girl felt empowered and valued by being asked for input; she wrote a letter to encourage the girl and assured her that she wasn’t alone.

Camp is only possible with hundreds of donors, volunteers, and prayer supporters. Thank YOU for making this life changing week possible.
A young lady, who is still learning English, came to camp with us. She was able to open up with another leader about struggles at home. By the end of camp week she decided to say ' yes ' to a relationship with Jesus!

Chris Miller started off in the City Life KIX program in West Homestead about 11 years ago. He was a troubled teenager, but at KIX, he encountered the love of Jesus. Staff and volunteers discipled him, and he completely turned his life around. He began to show up every day and always said that he would come back and serve.
PAYING IT FORWARD

Today, Chris is a family man with a wife and 3 beautiful children, a leader at his church, and a volunteer for City Life and Campus Life. He has been building relationships with kids, helping run programs, and connecting Youth for Christ with other like minded people in West Homestead.
Chris was once an atheist and lost, but Youth for Christ helped him meet Jesus and turn his life around. Because of the love Chris received, he is a better father, friend, and minister of the Gospel throughout the city!

Together, George and Marilyn Brown are a formidable team for Miami Youth for Christ. We are privileged and honored to have them serving with us.

Right alongside George is his loving wife, Marilyn, who he says “has been involved from the very beginning in seeking to win young people for Christ." Marilyn is an award winning photographer who specializes in black and white images of The Florida Everglades, America’s West, and historic scenes throughout South Florida.
“It was in 1993,” he said, “when Jack McClellan a member of my church at Old Cutler Presbyterian, and a board member at Miami Youth for Christ, told me that ‘life would really matter’ if I got involved.”
