Emerging Leader Honoree Toolkit Tribute to Women Awards has been shining a light on the contributions of women in the workforce for more than 40 years. This award program doesn’t just celebrate women in one industry, but celebrates the impact of women leaders throughout the Bay Area.

We hope this moment is something you are proud to share. This toolkit is designed to help you announce your award. If there are other materials you might find helpful, please reach out to us at philanthropy@yourywca.org.

SOCIAL SHARE You are welcomed and encouraged to share the good news far and wide, but we’ve designed materials to help you promote your award on LinkedIn, being as it is a professional networking site.

1. In the Honors & Awards section of your profile, add the Tribute to Women Emerging Leader Badge. Here are instructions to edit this section of your profile.

Below are planned promotional touchpoints that you can choose to engage with on social media and share with your friends, family and colleague via email.

February 27: YWCA announced all Honorees on our LinkedIn (3,871 followers) and Facebook (3,065 followers) pages.

March 10: YWCA published honoree names on yourywca.org and event site.

Week of March 24:  

YWCA distributes press release and releases embargo for nominating companies to distribute a press release announcing Honoree(s).

YWCA shared Honoree announcement to email subscribers (550+)

Week of April 9: YWCA posts honorees on Instagram (1,662 followers) with honoree profile picture taken during Networking Happy Hour or submitted by honoree Week of May 5: YWCA posts compiled interview clips played at the 2025 Tribute to Women Awards Dinner on YWCA’s YouTube channel.

YWCA shares individual interview clip with each honoree. Honorees can consider posting their individual video on social media and / or distribute via email to supporters.

INVITATION TO JOIN YOUR TABLE Your Honoree Package includes a pre-set number of tickets (seats) at the event.

These seats are yours to fill, so we’ve developed an email invitation you can share with friends, family or colleagues you wish to join you. *Note: you have 5 tickets; this includes you plus 4 guests.

Nominators are not invited to the event unless you choose to include them at your table or unless they purchase a ticket to be seated at another table.

Please have guests register to attend via your personal link sent in the email. If you need additional seats, tables and individual tickets may be purchased at $150 per seat ($1500 per table of 10). Please contact YWCA’s Philanthropy Department at philanthropy@yourywca.org if you have any questions.

The event will include a networking reception from 5:00-6:30 p.m., followed by the dinner and the awards program from 6:30– 9:00 p.m.

YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley’s Tribute to Women Awards is an annual fundraising event that supports their mission to eliminate racism and empower women by celebrating women in leadership positions and promoting diversity in professional settings. The Awards recognize the achievements of women who have excelled in their fields and have made significant contributions to the Bay Area through their dedication and leadership.

The awards dinner is attended by corporate and community leaders and Bay Area professionals. Myself and 0 other women that represent the Bay Area’s technology, healthcare, education non-profit, and business sectors will be recognized.
