Benicia’s summer stage welcomes a whirlwind of wit, romance, and mistaken identity as the Benicia Performing Arts Foundation presents As You Like It. You will be swept into the Forest of Arden, where love blossoms in disguise and laughter echoes through the trees. Rosalind, banished from court and disguised as the young Ganymede, navigates tangled affections and playful duels of the heart alongside a colorful cast of lovers and dreamers.

Break out your lederhosen and embrace the festive spirit as the lively tunes of a German Oompah band fill the air. Grab your pint of the iconic beer—brewed in an ancient Bavarian monastery—and pair it with schnitzels, sausages, and sauerkraut. You’re in for a culinary passport to Germany! Beyond the bratwurst, the Marketplace boasts more than 20 local vendors, offering handmade crafts, unique gifts, and souvenirs that reflect Benicia’s artistic spirit. It’s the perfect place to find a treasure while supporting local artisans. This year’s expanded Kids Zone, free for children under 12, includes a large inflatable play area, face painting, and a Root Beer Garden designed especially for the younger crowd. Family-friendly games and contests, including the ever-popular stein-holding challenge, ensure that laughter and energy fill the green all day long.
