HAPPY BIRTHDAY
What’s a Sarasota neighborhood without a neighborhood association? Although it’s still in its infancy, the Rosemary Volunteer Coalition is on its way to filling that void in Sarasota’s Rosemary District. The group, organized by City Side resident Samantha Wuerfel, had its first clean-up event in early June and left the neighborhood with a little more cheer. Wuerfel made this heart mosaic from a shattered mural on the corner of Central Avenue and Boulevard of the Arts.

Dancing through life INSIDE
One Sarasota County resident found herself in a sticky situation over the holiday weekend. Sarasota County Sheriff Deputy Brian Bercaw pulled over this tyke June 30 for going a 1.3 mph in a 25 mph zone. Bercaw said one too many juice boxes could have contributed to the incident.
