Signs of success The Southgate neighborhood cut the ribbon on its new sign March 9 near the intersection of School Avenue and Siesta Drive. The sign represents a continued effort throughout the neighborhood to increase name recognition and improve its overall aesthetic. The sign was funded with private donations. The Southgate Beautification Committee has been working on the project since 2014, but during the ribbon cutting, committee members called it a “labor of love.”

Calling all bookworms Gillespie Park neighbors are hoping to spread a little knowledge. The neighborhood installed a little library the weekend of March 18 near the pavilion in Gillespie Park. The addition is part of neighbors’ efforts to improve the park.
