EAST COUNTY — As the Mall at University Town Center takes shape, officials from Benderson Development Co. have revamped plans for the property adjacent to the project. Benderson recently submitted plans to add an additional 600,000 square feet of retail and 100,000 square feet of office

High recently received the 2014 “Pro of the Year” award for PTA’s District 8. The award recognizes High’s overall contributions to the tennis industry over the last 40 years. High has donated his time for charitable causes through tennis lessons and as an emcee for the USPTA Lessons for Life program. He also has been a speaker/presenter at a variety of tennis conventions, and he has trained aspiring teaching professionals. High has been with the Palm-Aire Country Club for nearly 16 years.

EAST COUNTY — Lakewood Ranch resident Heather Perry plans to bark up so much business that she has plans to expand her new company even before it opens. As Perry sits inside a redbrick home on Lorraine Road, she waves toward the tealpainted walls, a future juiceand-coffee bar and a pool out back dedicated to the exercise of dogs. This place — the future Canine Ranch Country Club — is just a half-mile away from Perry’s most recent purchase: the 25-acre Faith Christian Church campus, at 8215 Lorraine Road. Perry and her husband, Nathan, have been renovating their country club location at 5557 Lorraine Road since purchasing the property in July 2013. “We have been so excited about this center,” Perry said. “I always look at the big picture — what if we are bursting at the seams?
