He was president of DECA, played the saxophone, and football until his junior year. however, Tommy’s first love was surfing and spending time with others. at 24, Tommy’s life was untimely ended by an aortic aneurysm. For the past 11 years Tommy’s FAMILY, FRIENDS, and community REMEMBER his life by hosting the tommy tant memorial surf classic. This annual community event, which draws national attention and thousands of

spectators, has raised nearly $100,000 in scholarship dollars for students. Tommy had an energetic spirit that knew no limits. As a freshman in Matanzas High School she was on the varsity softball team, SGA and she was learning to play the steel drums. she dreamed of going to college and becoming a childlife specialist, to help children through tough medical procedures and life threatening illnesses. Mackenzie’s life was cut short after she lost her battle with a brain tumor on March 7, 2010. She was 16 years old. *************************************************************** ****************

study fashion, become a successful business woman, marry and have a family. Shannon died in a car accident on September 23, 2000 at the age of 16. Theda Wilson Scholarship PRESENTER: Larry Henderson RECIPIENT: Leivaughn Lyn By the time Theda Wilson arrived in Flagler she had already climbed a ladder which began as a teacher, supervisor, vice principal, principal, area director and superintendent in charge of 44 schools. UPON MOVING TO FLAGLER, SHE WAS immediately elected to a seat on the School Board where she served for 12 years, including two terms as Chair. She was a competent, intelligent woman with A DELIGHTFUL sense of humor. She was an

outstanding leader in the community who believed in the work of the Flagler County Education Foundation.
