+ Conrad Beach takes the cake At least six Conrad Beach residents got the same birthday present this year: Medicare. That’s right, six of the community’s residents turned the big 6-5 this year. They celebrated the birthdays poolside Nov. 10, with a joint party and a cake shaped like a Medicare card. The card cake was signed: Conrad Beach bums.

+ Christ Church hosts town manager Town Manager Dave Bullock spoke at Christ Church of Longboat Key, Presbyterian about “Important Lessons Facing Longboat Key in the Coming Months” Monday, Dec. 3. The Men’s Club of Christ Church organized the breakfast event, although ladies were invited, as well. In addition to a serving of Bullock’s Town Hall teachings, those who attended got a full helping of breakfast prepared by Christ Church member “Chef” Wiley Osborne.
