Bellmore-Merrick Broadcasting out of Mepham High School
The Bellmore-Merrick Broadcasting Program housed at Mepham High School gives students a chance to explore their interest in all aspects of broadcast journalism.

Students are currently working on preparing submissions for the National Student Television Network Fall Contest.

Students enrolled in the program have the opportunity to work with professional equipment in the districts top of the line broadcasting studio.
Program participants are enroll in a number of courses that focus on experiential learning where students are introduced to communication theories and tools. Students gain background knowledge of pre-production planning, camera use, lighting, sound recording, electronic editing and graphic design. Additionally, students will learn organizational skills, writing skills, interview techniques and professional communication skills. The BM Broadcasting Program is available to students throughout the district.
