Fighting Against the Elimination of Single Family Homes in Nassau County
Over 50 elected officials gathered to rally and urge Governor Hochul to reverse her position and pull back legislation in her 2022 budget that effectively eliminates single family home zoning across New York State. The budget proposal mandates that localities permit Accessory Dwelling Units, also known as apartments, on the property of homes that are currently zoned for single family use.
