Modern Italian & Mediterranean restaurant Sparrow has officially opened its doors in the heart of Mayfair. Following the successful debut of Sparrow Italia in Los Angeles in 2021, U.S. lifestyle hospitality group Noble 33 has now launched its first international restaurant in Mayfair.
Open from Tuesday to Saturday for dinner service, the stylish restaurant boasts 189 covers across three floors. Comprising of a ground-level brasserie, a terrace dining room on the indoor/outdoor first floor, a parlour dining room on the second floor, and a top floor cigar lounge, the restaurant is a multifunctional space.
Designed with neutral tones, the restaurant features accents of emerald and blue that pair beautifully with modern fixtures and stunning materials including marble, tile detailing and wood providing the perfect romantic coastal Mediterranean backdrop for your meal.
Designed to transport guests to the southern European coast, with a modern twist on traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes, the menu includes fresh seafood, homemade pastas, and a selection of Mediterranean classics that exude bold flavours and high-quality, sustainable, and organic ingredients.
Menu highlights include Sparrow classics such as Bluefin Tuna Tartare with avocado, truffle ponzu and crispy onions; Crispy wild mushroom arancini; Cacio e Pepe, served tableside from a Tuscan pecorino cheese wheel with parmesan and chitarra pasta, as well as Sparrow’s staple A5 Carpaccio, thinly sliced wagyu served with pickled seasonal mushrooms, umami aioli, and freshly shaved black truffles.

Exclusive dishes created just for London include a Lobster Linguine, made with British Isles lobster with a acqua pazza and lemon-parsley butter, Red Prawn Carpaccio and Caviar created with osetra caviar, amalfi lemon aioli, fresh Calabrian chile, and olive oil, and The Sparrow Fusilli made with homemade fusilli, pomodoro, burro di parma, and fresh basil. With plenty of meat, fish and vegetarian options, there is something for everyone on Sparrow's menu.
The food is complemented by innovative mixology that uses fresh, seasonal ingredients and the finest spirits to craft dynamic cocktails all rooted in the flavours of Italy. Guests can enjoy Sparrow signature cocktails including the Abruzzo made with Malfy blood orange gin, orange vermouth, amaro, walnut infused amaro abano, nocino, orange oil, and walnut smoke. The Genovese is wonderfully refreshing with blanco tequila, cucumber, basil, lime, chartreuse cointreau and agave. A large wine, spirit and beer menu is also on offer.
Sparrow offers a high-energy fine dining experience to the London restaurant scene, with nightly entertainment including live DJs and musicians.

Festive Feast

Harvey Nichols will launch its decadent three-course festive menu served with a glass of Prosecco for £36 per person, from Monday 14th November.
In the iconic Fifth Floor Café, guests can choose from a selection of starters, mains, and desserts from the specially created menu. Dished include mushroom pate with pickled mushrooms served with cornichons and seeded sourdough, turkey breast with Brussels sprouts, white cabbage and chestnuts, and pan-fried salmon with watercress puree and purple potatoes in a lemon caper vinaigrette.
For something sweet, the menu offers a variety festive favourites such as Christmas pudding with crème anglaise and red currants, gingerbread amaretto chocolate tart with candied chestnuts, and spiced mince pie cheesecake with clementine’s. All customers who dine the menu are offered a glass of Harvey Nichols Prosecco to enjoy with the meal.

A tender, suave rosé Champagne - such as a Brut or Demi-Sec, will pair with spices such as cinnamon, pink pepper and nutmeg. Tajine, a traditional Moroccan dish is a real winner - particularly when the sweetness of dried fruit is added to the mix. A fresh and light rosé Champagne - a Rosé non-vintage which possesses lively, fruity aromas, will perfectly match with a delicately steamed or fried fish seasoned with spices such as aniseed or ginger. A powerful, fleshy rosé Champagne - Black grape rosé Champagnes need strong flavours to compliment their power. This is where red meats such as duck, beef and lamb really come into their own; pairings with cumin and saffron or even hotter spices such as white, grey, or black peppers can enhance the flavours of not just the food but also these Champagnes. A complex, mature rosé Champagne - A vintage Rosé needs incredibly subtle flavours to complement its complex and mature nature. Shellfish or white meats lightly sautéed in salt and pepper or the use of spices such as ginger are refined options and the perfect accompaniment.
