Classic Worldtimer Goes Grey The Worldtimer timepiece is a must-have for many watch aficionados allowing them to keep track of time everywhere in the world at once. After the first Frederique Constant Worldtimer launch in 2012, the watch stood proudly as one of the brand’s best-selling Manufacture watches. Since then, the Worldtimer has come in a range of 11 models featuring a wide colour palette. Now, yet another colour variation of this elegant and sophisticated traveling watch is unveiled: a dark grey design of the world map finely etched onto to the dial and the twenty-four cities on its outer rim make one wish for globe-trotting. The date by hand at 6 o’clock makes the perfect addition to the Worldtimer function and further enhances the aesthetic of the watch. The indexes on each hour add to the dial’s readability, offering additional comfort when glancing at the time. The new Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture comes in two models featuring a 42mm case in rose-gold-plated stainless steel or in stainless steel both limited to 718 pieces each. The FC-718 caliber is an extraordinary piece of machinery; not only is it in-house designed, developed and produced, but its Worldtimer functions as well as the date are all adjustable via the crown, with no additional push-buttons. To easily set the watch, one must choose between three settings; the first lets the user wind the watch by turning the crown upwards; the second allows to set the date and city by turning the crown upwards and downwards respectively; and the third position enables the user to set the time

by turning the crown downwards. The timepiece displays two separate discs, one featuring a 24h day-night indicator and a second one with the twenty-four cities. As a Manufacture movement, the FC-718 caliber is decorated with Perlage and circular Côtes de Genève and holds a 42-hour power reserve. The dark grey timepiece is complete with a dark grey alligator leather strap with white stitches.

Precision Power for W10 Reinterpretation Hamilton has been the go-to name for professional pilots for more than 100 years and also happen to be top of the list for the military for reliable instruments for their aviators. Now, the brand have launched the stunning new Khaki Pilot Pioneer Mechanical. Having supplied the U.S. Armed Forces in the 1940s, Hamilton went on to provide thousands of watches to the British Army during the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. One of the most popular timepieces was the W10, which was produced between 1973 and 1976 and was largely issued to pilots. The hero of the new Khaki Pilot Pioneer collection is an exact remake of this popular watch. Adding a range of 21st century touches to make sure this Pilot Pioneer is equal to the challenges of modern life, Hamilton have brought this 70’s classic up to date in spectacular fashion. Not only is it a precision watch with bundles of style, but is an ideal piece for watch lovers seeking a watch with authentic aviation history. The 33mm stainless steel case is mattified to avoid unnecessary

glare. The matt dial and boxshaped crystal with double antireflective coating also keep the readability up and the reflection down. It’s a practical feature learned from Hamilton’s long and prestigious past timing the skies. Inside, the engine is the modern H-50 hand winding movement, a mainstay of some of their best known Khaki watches packing an awesome 80 hours of power reserve as well as the Hamilton precision pilots need - and expect. This is an authentic ‘70s update right down to the smallest details. From the black dial which has a unique structure, calling to mind the case of cameras or binoculars from the pre-digital age to the finishing touch of the military feel NATO straps in a choice of durable storm gray textile or vintage-look brown leather. If you are looking for reliable precision and genuine military heritage, the Khaki Pilot Pioneer will most definitely find its way on to your radar.

Precious gemstones are synonymous with Harry Winston, and so are precious art forms, like the spectacular mosaic glass setting on the dials of their four new gold Premier Precious Micromosaic models. An inimitable luxury made by hand in Ravenna, Italy, the vibrant patterns on the dial are highlighted with quintessential Harry Winston diamonds in an artistic marriage that is destined to shine for a lifetime including the spectacular Premier Precious Peacock highlighting a much-loved bird in Harry Winston’s history of high jewellery design. The Premier Precious Peacock timepiece is presented in 36 mm cases crafted in either 18-karat white or 18-karat rose gold. The peacock’s main features are outlined in yellow gold and then filled with colorful glass mosaic and precious stones. Perched on the right side of the dial, the peacock’s magnificent tail dominates the scenery. The vibrant blue and green color palette on the white gold model is more naturalistic, while the rose gold model presents a more imaginative and feminine interpretation of the peacock through pink, raspberry and white colour tones. By playing with different shades in a given colour scheme, and positioning varying shapes of glass tesserae at different angles - very much like the Winston Cluster technique - the master craftsmen create an extraordinary sensation of movement.

For added brilliance, the peacock’s eye, crest and long flowing tail are highlighted with 152 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the characteristic ‘eyes’ of the peacock’s tail are accented by vivid blue sapphires on the white gold version, and rich red rubies on the rose gold. Since its debut in 1989, Harry Winston’s Premier collection has been the designated timepiece to showcase different artistic crafts. Instantly recognizable by the distinctive diamond-set lugs at 12 and 6 o’clock that recall the arched entrance to Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue Flagship Salon, the luxurious gold case of the Premier Precious Peacock Automatic 36mm is set with 57 brilliant-cut diamonds, including the five truncated diamonds on the crown and lugs. A Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement with an 18-karat rose gold skeletonized rotor and refined hand finishes can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. Equipped with the latest technology in the form of a flat silicon balance spring and a generous power reserve of 72 hours, this movement is destined to keep impeccable time on a par with the everlasting beauty of the dial. Both models of the Premier Precious Peacock are limited editions of 30 pieces.

Piaget Bucherer Blue With a diamonds and blue sapphire set rose gold bezel and dial set with blue sapphires, the Piaget Possession Bucherer Blue becomes a member of the exclusive Bucherer Blue Collection.

Bucherer and Piaget present the newest member of the exhilarating Bucherer Blue family, the stunning rose-gold Piaget Possession Bucherer Blue with a blue alligator-leather strap. Many people associate blue with the sea, others think of blue skies and some also regard blue as the colour of freedom. However connoisseurs of fine watches are always reminded of Bucherer Blue. This prestigious collection includes an exclusive selection of the finest Swiss watchmakers’ art - available exclusively from Bucherer. For the past three years, Bucherer has been reinterpreting iconic timepieces, and now, for the third time, Bucherer’s close partnership with Piaget - first established back in 1979 - has given birth to an exclusive new, elegant Bucherer Blue masterpiece.

Feminine, playful and sensuous with unique features including the rotating rose-gold bezel, lavishly set with diamonds, and a single gorgeous sapphire that revolves about a rose-gold band. Smaller blue sapphires adorn the dial, acting as hour markers. Finally, the vibrant blue of the alligator-leather strap provides a bold, powerful contrast. Designed for an elegant, sophisticated, self-confident woman, this recreation of Piaget’s legendary Possession is a jewel of the watchmaker’s art. Since Piaget was first founded in 1874, the company has united exuberant creativity with a unique expertise in the watchmaker’s and jeweller’s art - combined with a love of detail. This rich history and craftsmanship is perfectly embodied in the new Piaget Possession Bucherer Blue.

Overseas In Black The Overseas collection treats itself to a total black look. Two new timepieces are available in a black lacquered dial beautifully

oscillating weight adorned with a wind rose and visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.

framed by the shimmering gleam of the steel case. Launched in 2018, the Overseas dual time model equipped with the 5110 DT self-winding Manufacture movement enables simultaneous reading of two time zones, complete with date and day/night indication. The Overseas Lady quartz, appears with diamonds on its bezel to light up the path of its hands, while the date is displayed at 3 o’clock. Everything in the Overseas dual time watch has been designed to take account of the variable factors punctuating globetrotters’ daily lives, interpreted in a practical, useful and resolutely stylish manner. The readability of the new black dial, the smooth adjustment of the functions, along with the wearer comfort ensured in all circumstances thanks to its three interchangeable bracelet/ straps, make this timepiece the ideal companion around the world. Throbbing at the heart of the watch is the self-winding Manufacture 5110 DT calibre, derived from the 5100. Its distinctive feature lies in the simultaneous reading of two time zones. In addition to the traditional central hand-type time indications for local time, a fourth hand tipped with a red arrow displays the ‘home’ time, coupled with a day/night indicator. The date hand appearing on a sector at 6 o’clock is synchronised with local time, corrected by means of a pushpiece. The two 12-hour zones are adjustable via the crown in both directions. The 234-component calibre has a comfortable 60-hour power reserve thanks to its two barrels wound by a 22-carat gold

While the new Overseas Lady quartz embraces a 33 mm diameter case to combine femininity and charm with its sporty look. Rimmed with a diamond-set bezel, its black sunburst lacquered dial makes a pleasing contrast with the faceted and luminescent 18K white gold hour-markers and hands. This practical and eminently legible Overseas model enhances its sporty look with the taut lines of its case water-resistant to 50 metres, flowing into a steel bracelet that can also be changed according to its wearer’s wishes.

Good Things Come in Small Packages Introducing the Metro Rose Gold 33 A brand-new addition to the Metro collection from Nomos Glashütte in the shape of the Metro rose gold 33. At just 33 millimeters in diameter, this watch is also the smallest Metro model to date. Its rose gold hands harmonize beautifully with the gray hour markers and subtle violet minute markers. Inside, the handwound Alpha caliber from Nomos

“This watch celebrates the materiality of gold, combining it with the contemporary design details of the strap and clasp,” its designer Mark Braun explains. “It has a feminine aspect, and more warmth. With Metro rose gold 33, we are using precious metal in a modern way.” The first Metro model from Nomos Glashütte was unveiled

Glashütte sets the pace. The beige velour leather strap and rose gold winged clasp add the finishing touch.

in 2014, and this watch has been winning design awards ever since. Its rounded case, slender wire lugs, tapered hands, and the delicate diamond knurling on its crown combine to create an aesthetic reminiscent of precision tools. There are hand-wound and automatic versions, larger and smaller, with and without complications. But nearly all of them feature a stainless steel case. This new release, Metro rose gold 33, is only the second Metro from the Manufacture with an 18 karat rose gold case - in 2017, Metro rose gold neomatik 39 was introduced as part of the At Work series of elegant wristwear for the office. With the latest Metro model, however, designer Mark Braun had something else in mind: “We wanted to reach all watch wearers and a smaller Metro in gold is the logical next step.” Metro rose gold 33 shows just what is possible with this elegant design, and is perfect for all those looking for a sophisticated timepiece in gold, just a tick smaller.

A Very Colonia Christmas With Artistic Italian Inspiration from Gio Pastori Original paper-cut artist and upcoming Italian talent, Gio Pastori has been entrusted with the creativity of Acqua di Parma’s 2019 festive Colonia Artist Edition bringing his unique artistic vision to the brand’s Colonia fragrance. Included in 2017 by Forbes among the 30 most interesting young creators on the European contemporary art scene, Gio Pastori, an artist with a natural passion for paper, a material that turns his creations into a lively matter, delicately moves between different worlds. He accounts among his masters Matisse and Tom Wesselmann. His aesthetics can be defined as pop, suspended between an old-fashioned disarming purity and modern digital times. Gio employs the paper cutter in his works as if it were a pencil. The artist follows his own creative inspiration without using a predetermined drawing as reference and creates simple yet powerfully expressive shapes, combining flat forms characterised by bright and bold colours. His transversal and poetical approach has so far allowed him to develop projects for prominent international fashion, design, music and smart-tech brands. With the new edition of Colonia Artist, Acqua di Parma supports an Italian artist with a personal language that is deeply linked with the world of the Maison while being also extremely innovative.

“I share with the maison the Mastering Simplicity concept, a fundamental value of Acqua di Parma, referring to the process of eliminating anything superfluous in favour of a minimal aesthetic, from which an essential and bright beauty can emerge. Indeed, the same principle that guides my hand when I plan my compositions. I also admire and share with the brand the Perfect Imperfection value that is visible in Acqua di Parma’s packages, in other words, the iconic hat boxes. The labels are applied by hand, so each package is slightly different from the other: this symbolises the human factor transforming what’s imperfect into an added value,” explains Gio Pastori. “Getting the opportunity to work with such an unconventional artist as Gio Pastori was a very special chance for our Maison. Seeing his dynamic creativity producing something as light and joyful as the new Colonia Artist was a unique privilege. His expressive code perfectly combines with the vital elegance of Acqua di Parma’s Italian style, giving life to an unprecedented work of art. With his sensibility for pure and intense colours, Gio Pastori captured the fresh and cheerful soul of Colonia. Choosing a young Italian artist means to promote up-and-coming talents, allowing them to enrich our culture with new, and therefore intriguingly authentic, linguistic codes,” adds Laura Burdese, CEO and President of Acqua di Parma.

The decorative motif created by Gio Pastori wraps up the bottle and the elegant cylindershaped box in Parma’s trademark yellow shade, combining different inspirations. The small reiterated elements reference advertising graphics from the 1930s and ‘40s, a genuine artistic expression with a strong link to Depero. The famous Art Deco bottle of Colonia, jungles in two tones with black and white backgrounds joined by a zigzag line, returns as a recurring motif and evokes gift cards and papercut, but also the sharp contrasts between light and shadow typical of the Italian landscapes. Small black or white boules with a bright yellow star in the center remember the games of childhood: marbles, balls and balloons. Energetic and vital sensations combined with a fresh and dynamic style that spread a delicate irony, a vintage yet contemporary aesthetic. “I strongly believe that handmade products have a very special value. Each handmade product is indeed unique. The passion for craftsmanship, for handmade things, for Italian creativity are all values that I deeply share with Acqua di Parma. In my illustrations each line, form and composition is cut by hand. So the relation with matter is fundamental in my practice. Paper is my main obsession and the unmistakeable embossed Acqua di Parma paper has always fascinated me,” continues Pastori. “Working on the project of Colonia Artist was an interesting challenge. I love pure colours and Acqua di Parma has always represented for me light and lightness also thanks to its trademark yellow

shade. The Maison’s graphics and style have an informal yet extremely elegant simplicity that always struck me. This pure and never contrived essentiality also characterises my artistic vision. By stepping into the universe of the brand I found again that same love for handmade things that is fundamental to me. The Perfect Imperfection added by the human touch represents for me that extra value that turns each and every creation into something unique. Interpreting Colonia, a fragrance that conjures up in my mind landscapes drenched in the sun, has given me the chance of expressing my most playful, ironic and light side,” explains Gio Pastori. The project of Colonia Artist extends also to Acqua di Parma’s Holiday Collection, with the original pattern created by Gio Pastori for Colonia Artist decorating the Gift Sets and the new products of the Home Collection released exclusively

for the festive season. The extensive Gio Pastori Holiday Collection is available now in-store and online at

The new menu, led by talented Head Bartender Giacomo Guarnera and his team, features a repertoire of cocktails that are inspired by the different facets of Churchill and classic British food duos. Sports CoupĂŠ Gets Its Back Up Audi's long-standing high performance sports coupĂŠ - the impressive RS5 - welcomes an update along with a Sportback addition, bringing a sleek new profile to the model line with an abundance of performance to enjoy.

Blistering performance returns in the shape of Audi’s fierce twodoor RS 5 coupé but now with a little extra thrown in for good measure. Taking the success of it’s two-door counterpart, the new five-door Sportback variant brings the same stunning performance to the table whilst offering additional space for both passengers and luggage. Both versions are exclusively available as Audi Sport Edition models - 250 examples of each - offering an exceptional specification. Externally, upgrading to Audi Sport Edition specification in both RS 5 variants adds larger 20-inch alloy wheels with an anthracite finish, fitting privacy glass, replacing aluminium-look exterior fittings such as the grille surround, window cappings and door mirror housings with high gloss black elements and installing the Audi Sport exhaust system to amplify the engine’s beautiful soundtrack. Inside, fine Nappa leather and Alcantara combination upholstery with contrast diamond stitching for the RS super sports seats comes exclusively to the Audi Sport Edition models, and they also gain piano black inlays and a panoramic glass sunroof. All of this simply adds to an already impressive equipment list that includes all-LED lighting, the fully digital Audi Virtual Cockpit with RS-specific displays, the Audi Smartphone Interface bringing Apple Carplay and Android Auto on board, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch incorporating LTE internet connectivity as part of the Audi connect package and driver assistants including the

Audi side assist blindspot monitoring system, Audi hill hold assist and the parking system plus. The latest edition of this impressive coupé continues to deliver Audi’s excellent levels of style and performance and thankfully the theme continues with the Sportback addition. Boasting two turbochargers perched centrally within the 2.9-litre V6 engine ensuring exceptional response throughout the rev range - these potent performance cars take full advantage of the 450 PS and 600 Nm of torque to propel you from zero to sixty-two in under four seconds in both variants while combustion technology employing the B-cycle process with central direct injection delivers a level of efficiency as equally impressive. All of that power would be wasted if you weren’t able to put it onto the road and thankfully the Quattro system remains in full force, delivering the power precisely where it’s needed, when it’s needed to maintain traction regardless of the power you’re putting down and the surface you’re on - perfect for the colder months and potential snow. Five-link front and rear suspension reserved for the RS models supports the sports differential to offer even greater handling. A 40:60 front-to-rear ratio creates an exciting, agile platform and promotes dynamic driving. Audi’s RS 5 has always provided an inviting driving prospect and the theme continues with this latest iteration. Responsiveness is brought to the fore whether you are testing the well established, razor sharp 8-speed tiptronic transmission, fast acting 2.9-litre V6 or its autonomous Quattro system.

AUDI RS5 Every aspect combines to deliver a driving package that leads the way and remains at your full disposal. The Audi drive select continues to offer adaptive dynamics to fine-tune the Quattro system and sport differential along with adjusting engine response, transmission ratios, suspension stiffness and steering weighting to tailor your driving experience exactly how you want it. With all that power and cornering speed at your feet, you want to be sure that you can stop just as well as accelerate and fortunately, Audi know a thing or two about brakes as well as power. Ceramic brakes offer up some serious stopping power that will ensure you remain confident in the cars performance. Despite the obviously impressive performance, both RS 5 models will get your attention thanks to their equally eye-catching aesthetics. Maintaining the stunning visual themes that the marque has become synonymous with - including that striking front grille and aggressive front air intakes - both models ooze style and substance. Whether you are lucky enough to get your hands on one of the limited Sport Edition model or not, you will still enjoy the same angular, aggressive styling that really sets the RS versions apart from the rest. 2016 Jaguar C Type Realm Engineering Recreation ÂŁPOA

C TYPE Jaguar's beautiful racing sports car produced during the early 50's, the C-Type, was a successful racer - winning the 24 hours of Le Mans twice - and was driven by the likes of Stirling Moss and Clemente Biondetti. Just 53 examples were ever made between 1951 and 1953. This 2016 C-Type Realm Engineering Recreation boasts the same smooth line aesthetic as its original inspiration, however, under the bonnet is a very different story. Fitted with a Jaguar 4.2-litre engine, triple Webber carburetors and a five speed gearbox, this is an exceptional driver. It features a passenger side chrome exhaust which sounds wonderful and is the perfect accompaniment to that 4.2-litre block. Presented in the very desirable colour combination of silver coachwork with dark blue leather interior, this example is finished to a very high specification. The car has only recently been completed and boasts around 500 running in miles, perfect for anyone looking for a new, reliable car with an iconically classic appeal. It comes complete with a weather tonneau cover. It is a must see recreation of one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Chelsea Cars, 59-61 Armoury Way, London SW18 1JZ | 020 8870 9977 | |

Prime Central London to Bounce Back with Lawrence Bowles, Residential Research Analyst at Savills

We recently released our five-year housing market forecasts and given Brexit uncertainty, it’s fair to say that reaching our final thoughts certainly proved more challenging than in the past. Taking the UK mainstream market as a whole, we’re forecasting that house prices are set to rise by an average of 15.3% over the next five years, with significant variation between not only the regions but also between the prime and mainstream markets, particularly in London. It is important to note that to get to this position, we’ve needed to make various assumptions: that the election does not result in a significant shift in policy environment and that the UK achieves an orderly exit from the EU over the course of 2020 and avoids recession. We’ve also assumed that the bank base rate increases gradually to 2.0% by the second half of 2024, constraining mortgage affordability and therefore house price growth. So aside from the headline UK view, what is it that we are forecasting for mainstream London? We expect London house prices to see a 4.0% increase over the next five years, having outperformed the rest of the UK in the 7.5 years leading up to the referendum*. How does that sit with the rest of the UK? Well, it’s a pretty different picture regionally with the North West set to see the strongest price growth (24.0%) between 2020 and 2024, followed by Yorkshire and the Humber (21.6%). In fact, this isn’t anything we haven’t seen before and is a continuation of trends seen historically, where London and the South East have underperformed markets in the Midlands and North. If you look at markets further from the capital, such as Leeds, Liverpool and Sheffield, they were all much slower to recover post financial crisis and that means they have much greater capacity for house price growth relative to incomes, even as interest rates rise. It seems that this stage of the cycle began in 2016, coinciding with the referendum, at a time when London hit up against the limits of affordability. While our mainstream housing market forecasts tend to be driven by projections of affordability, largely for mortgaged buyers,

things are different for prime markets. There, demand is much more affected by the creation and flows of wealth and, of course, this is a level of the market which has been impacted by various tax changes over the last five years. This means that we anticipate the capital’s prime markets to not only outperform the mainstream but, in the case of prime central London, we’re forecasting it will also be one of the strongest performing markets in the country. We forecast 20.5% growth over the next five years and 3% over the next twelve months, marking the first annual price growth since the peak of the market in 2014. While average house prices across Greater London have risen 15% over the past five years, the compound effect of stamp duty reform and the Brexit vote has resulted in falls of 20% across prime central London. Accounting for currency fluctuations, this equates to a discount of around 42% for a US dollar buyer. Prime central London has become increasingly dislocated from the Greater London mainstream during this period but this now marks a turning point. Historically, recovery in the prime markets

*According to Nationwide.

COLUMN has been set off in prime central London when the city’s most expensive homes start to look like good value in a global context. Given that values have been bottoming out over the past twelve months, our agents working across the region have noted a buildup of new buyer registrations. Both of these factors would suggest that the market is set for a bounce back. What’s holding things back is the market uncertainty. Our forecasts for prime central London do suggest a weaker recovery than seen in previous cycles, however. There are several reasons for this: the high tax environment, the likelihood that the cost of money will gradually increase, and the maturity of London as a global city and financial centre. House price growth in more central locations will inevitably push demand to other prime locations in the capital from 2021, meaning that they too will outperform the wider London average. Markets like Battersea, Fulham, Islington and Chiswick are much more dependent on domestic wealth generation and are more likely to feel the effects of interest rate rises and the strength of the underlying mainstream markets. We’d therefore expect that these domestic markets on London’s fringes won’t reflect the same growth in prime central London and will undershoot by 11.5% over the next five years.
