WESTIN'S HEAVENLY SPA PARTNERS WITH GERMAINE DE CAPUCCINI

Located in the heart of the city on the banks of the River Thames, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotel’s luxury city retreat brand, has opened its first Heavenly Spa by Westin in London.

Designed to encourage guests to focus on their wellbeing while travelling, The Heavenly Spa concept is rooted in six principles - Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well and Play Well. Offering a tranquil escape from hectic city life, the spa provides experiences that stimulate ‘the seven senses’ - the five physical senses of sight, sound, smell, touch and taste, as well as ‘the psychological senses of meaning and emotion’.

Featuring five relaxing treatment rooms, and a host of thermal experiences including a sauna, steam room, sensory shower and ice fountain. Other facilities include a relaxation room, nail salon and a restaurant offering nutritious food options, as well as a juice bar and gym kitted out with Pelaton and Technogym equipment.

With a colour palette of tranquil blue and sage green and beautiful textured bath stone, the swimming pool has been carefully positioned around the archaeological remains of the Huggin Hill Roman bathhouse, designed to reflect the history of the property.

Most recently the spa has partnered with renowned brand Germaine de Capuccini to offer a range of treatments including massages and targeted facials.

Germaine de Capuccini is responsible for some of the most important breakthroughs in skincare technology and remains, to this day, one of the world’s most prominent skincare brands with over 50 years of excellence in professional skincare.

Many of the brand’s products are designed to treat not just a

specific skin concern but also a specific skin type ensuring client’s benefit with the desired results from their skincare. Nothing is ever tested on animals and natural ingredients are sustainably and ethically sourced, supported by programmes such as BEE of South Africa, offering the development opportunities for the discriminated minorities.

Standout treatments at the Heavenly Spa include the Timexpert City Proof Facial, an award-winning facial that protects and repairs the skin from pollution damage and external stress.

Highly relaxing with a shoulder massage and facial massage included to encourage lymphatic drainage, the facial sees a unique bubble mask used to release pure oxygen into the dermal layers to detoxify the cells. After, a second mask is applied to activate the skin's immune system increasing its defence capability. Skin is left looking healthy, protected, and more radiant.

Before entering, guests are invited to unburden their worries by symbolically placing them into a burden box attached to the treatment room door. Described as a ‘signature moment’ in all guests’ journeys, the burden box is designed to relieve guests of any negative feelings before beginning their treatments.
