Happy New Year!

What are your New Year’s Resolutions this year? Here at Best Pages we thought about doing the obligatory annual diet, but Bert the Biscuit barrel looked so unhappy about being thrown in the bin that we had to ditch that idea for his sake. We’ve decided our mission instead is to have tried every type of biscuit in existence before the year is out. We will accept packets of biscuits through the post, if anyone wants to assist us in our quest.

How was your Christmas? We’re still finding bits of tinsel and the remnants of party poppers everywhere from the office Christmas bash, and frankly we’re happy to never meet another turkey again. If you’ve eaten more than five of the following concoctions this Christmas, you get bonus points (and our sympathy):

• Turkey sandwiches • Turkey curry • Turkey vol au vents • Turkey fajitas • Turkey twizzlers • Turkey tart

• Turkey flan • Turkey puree • Turkey sponge with custard (Dickie’s creation, which is nicer than you expect).

But enough about turkey. For many of us, New Year is the time that we make an effort to get those jobs done that we’ve been putting off for the past 12 months.

Maybe it’s time to get the guttering seen to, or to have that leaking tap sorted once and for all? Whatever it is you need, you can bet there’s someone in these pages to help you out, and at great value too.
