Every kid in Latin America & the Caribbean My story

I was born in Bogota, Colombia with my parents and brother. When I was 13 years old, my parents got divorced and I moved with my mom to a new neighborhood where I got connected to Young Life. This YL group welcomed me, supported me, and when I needed it the most, showed me the real love of Jesus in my life.

Being part of Young Life was critical for who I am today. My values, my skills, and my dreams have been transformed and have given me a perspective centered on a solid foundation: Jesus.

I was a volunteer leader for 10 years and I had the privilege of being a recipient of YL’s ‘Developing Global Leaders’ program. DGL helped me pay for my university studies while I spent my free time leading a club in Bogota, with the purpose of sharing the gopsel so more kids knew about the love of Jesus.

After graduating from university, I started working in the communications field (initially for the Amazon Region and currently for all of Latin America and the Caribbean). I saw how God used my creativity and my love for young people to tell the story that He is writing to other adults and to invite them to be a part of this grand vision.

I currently live in Orlando, Florida with my husband Danny. Together we share the vision that every kid in Latin America & Caribbean would know the incredible love of Jesus and that their life would be transformed, just as mine was.
