York Technical College believes in supporting you both in and outside of the classroom. We offer academic coaching and tutoring services, as well as internships and apprenticeships. Our Academic & Career Advising Center teams offer career guidance and assistance to both students and alumni.

Academic Coaching

Students benefit from one-on-one support during academic coaching sessions. Designed to help students become independent and efficient learners, individualized sessions cover skill assessment and building as well as test-taking skills, note-taking, organization, and time-management.

Counseling And Support Services

Are you feeling overwhelmed with your academic workload or struggling to cope with an emotional issue? York Technical College’s Counseling Services is here to help! Our compassionate team of counselors provides services virtually/remotely and in person. We’re just a phone call or email away.

To help our students thrive in their college experience, we offer research assistance, a 24/7 Library chat service, study rooms and more in our state-of-the-art Anne Springs Close Learning Commons.

Tutoring

Open to all students, we offer year-round tutoring in various subjects to assist students with their coursework. In addition to in-person sessions, online tutoring is also available with technology platforms such as D2L and Navigate.

Supplemental Instruction

Students receive built-in support for math through course-specific learning and study strategies, structured study time with peers, and review of terms, concepts, and lessons in a lab associated with the course.
