Charlotte Crosby has created an outstanding career for herself in the world of TV. An amazing presence and personality who has entertained audiences since her first appearance on Geordie Shore, back in 2011. But in recent years, we’ve seen her move into new areas and explore new avenues. In fact 2019, was the year she launched her very own womenswear brand, Pepper Girls Club, an online store featuring a chic and sexy, capsule collection.

We are incredibly excited to announce that Charlotte has chosen York Fashion Week 2020, as the platform to showcase her range for the very first time!

Charlotte’s career has gone from strength to strength since her television debut on Geordie Shore. Charlotte went onto present MTV’s Just Tattoo of Us, and now has her own TV series titled The Charlotte Show, which follows her crazy, busy life with her friends and family. She was the winner of Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, featured on Celeb’s Go Dating in 2016 and this year hit our screens, as a contestant on Australia’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Alongside these many TV appearances, Charlotte’s popularity and large online following has led to many collaborative projects, such as the launch of her own make-up line, a series of bestselling books and fitness DVDs, and a range for fashion e-tailer In The Style. The latter saw Charlotte release a series of curated collections, for which she worked alongside In The Style designers to put her fashion vision into a clothing line which became one of the company’s most impactful collaborations since launch.

This incredible journey is what now takes us to the Charlotte Crosby we see today; an accomplished television personality and skilled businesswoman. 2019 saw Charlotte launch the Pepper Girls Club brand; a chic online fashion platform. But then also, Naked Lane; a homeware brand that offers sleek and stylish accessories, ranging from candles and photo frames, to ornate trays and gin trolleys.

The inspiration for both of these ventures was Charlotte’s desire to have more control over her creative outlets, and to showcase more of what the Charlotte Crosby brand could be about. “I love fashion and homeware. I love pulling together concepts and seeing looks come together. I’ve been playing with the idea of launching my own brands for a while, and now just felt so right.” said Charlotte. “I have such a vocal audience, and I just knew that I could pull together collections that would get people talking. It’s been a real challenge of course, but I’m loving every minute of it!”

Pepper Girls Club in particular was extremely important to Charlotte, and she was keen to really perfect the offering. In fact, she kept her public involvement in the brand, to an absolute minimum. Charlotte wanted the brand to define itself before people knew it was her - to love the collection because it was a beautiful collection, and not just because it was ‘Charlotte Crosby’s Collection’. “It was really important that the brand and the collection made sense. I needed to know that people were buying into us because they loved the clothes, and wanted to be a part of the brand. So I decided to keep my name off, until we’d moved onto our third collection, so that I’d know that we’d truly nailed it.”

This was a bold move by the entrepreneur, and it’s very exciting to see that it paid off. Pepper has built up a strong following of celebrities and bloggers, and you’ll often see a “Pepper Girl” sharing her outfits on Instagram.

“I love York, and I knew that York Fashion Week would be a great platform to showcase the brand, especially at a time when I felt ready to put my name to the business.” Charlotte tells us, as we relax backstage at the photoshoot, shot at her parents beautiful home in the North East. “The whole event seems to be so much about making people feel good about themselves and shouting about up and coming designers, and it just felt so right for me.”

Pepper Girls Club is still at the beginning of its exciting journey, with new pieces on the horizon. Join her on Friday 20th March at Revolution York at 7pm, to enjoy the Pepper Girls Club Runway Show.
