The faculty of York College voted and elected Mr. Bob Lewis and Miss Lavora Ballard as Mr. and Miss York C ollege, respectively. Selections were based upon their being typical York College students, and representative of the ideals of the school.

Each year the A m erican Legion presents to York College, two scholarships of $50. 00 each. The awards are based upon student ability, participation in ex tra-cu rri足 cular activities, m oral character and financial need. Presenting the awards are Mrs. Glen Pfenning, President, to Robert Johnson, and Mrs. Hollis Miller, Past President, to Gary Weiser. Mrs. E. W. Schuttlesworth was acting moderator for the awards.
