The city compound / new capital, egypt

The City Compound is located in the New Capital in Cairo, Egypt. It has a total area of 54 acres. Residential buildings form a total ratio of 22.5%. Commercial buildings form a total of 12% of which only 30% is buildable area and the rest are open space and services.

Compound is lovated in New Capital in Egypt, facing the diplomatic district. Total area of project is 32.88 acres.

Total building footprint (residential + services) is equal to 26.53%. Consists of 36 residential buildings, each having 7 typical floors, and 2 basements and a penthouse.

The project has a total of 79 buildings and 8 villas. They include studio apartments, duplex apartments, penthouses, skycondos and standalone villas.

Residential units form 22.5% of the total area of the project whilst the commercial form 3.5% where only 23% of that is buildable area and the rest are open spaces and services.

Design of landscape areas in villas, shared open spaces, dancing fountains, city square, jogging and bicycle track was made with a full presentation for the project.

horizon tower / pearl competition , qatar

The Horizon Tower was a proposal in a competition for the Pearl Competition located in Qatar.

The idea of the proposal was to create a shared open space where the residential units could benefit from. An extended water view was established by the horizon pool which created a waterfront view. Also, orientation of the building units were all south-east to allow outdoor activity from 6am till noon.

Closed areas in the project consisted of shops at ground levels witth a glass shaded dome to allow natural daylight and transparency to the sky view.

Total building area is 27139 square meters.

Cross ventilation was used to push the hot air by cold air through openings at leveled seating areas and through dome openings expelling the hot air to the exterior.

A mixture of other services were designed in the project as a gymnasium with an open view to the horizon pool, recreational faciliities looking at an open external view, glass covered dome to connect the exterior environment and allowing daylight to enter the court in the commercial area filled with landscape elements.

RECREATIONAL parks / qatar

Performed all design modifications in various parks located in Qatar. Parks included were in (Al daayen / Al Rayyan / Al Khor / Al Thakhira)

Modifications included changes in design of park, both in the 2d blueprints and the report presentation.

All parks included a play area for ages 2-5 years and 6-12 years, kiosks, substations, sitting areas for families, services, toilets, underground water tank and 2 entrance gates.

Also, executive drawings were made including hardscape, softscape, staking, grading, signage, lighting and detailed workshop drawings.

The Project consists of administrative section, hotel, mall, entertainment center, ice skating rink, multi-purpose halls, food courts and a health club. Duties included landscape design & working drawings. Location: Al-Ahsa Site area = 55500 m 2 , Total Build area = 133490 m 2

Landscape working drawings included detailed master plans, softscape plans, hardscape plans, coordinates and detail drawings.

Presentation using Adobe Photoshop CS6, defining all patterns, and landscape elements such as trees, shrubs, palms, stairs and fountains.

Single Stair Ramp Detail

Single-stair ramp was used in this project that was located in the lower-ground floor and upper ground floor, had detailed section and plan. Also, all stairs had full detailed drawings made.

Open courts from the basement till the upper ground floor were made to allow natural lighting & ventilation to the ground floor. Plaza Section was made to show the various plants used as palm trees that connected all floors, shrubs, ground cover and hardscape elements.

King Abdullah Project for the Development of the

Judiciary Facility / ksa

Prototypes for the Judiciary facilities in Saudi Arabia were designed in multiple sites. Every site had it’s own landscape package where a design of hardscape, softcape, signage, lighting and grading and staking plans were established for each site.

All sites included an AutoCad executive drawing package. Palms, trees, shrubs, succulents, groundcover and grass were used in various types to design softscape drawings to fit the climate needs of Saudi Arabia.

A BOQ was calculated and added to the landscape package.20 21

7Kitchen Detail

Plan, elevation and section details were made with full description of all appliances used and full dimensions of tiles and finishing materials on each wall.

Sections illustrated all layers and full detail of the finishing and cabinets.

Bathroom Detail

Several plan and section details were made which displayed the structure beams and columns, details of the fixtures and drainage system, and finishing materials used.

False ceilings were used in the design and also were reflected and coordinated with the HVAC and Civil departments to reflect exhaust systems and air conditioning not to interfere with the structure system.
