YMCA Swimming Lessons Parent & Tot (6 mo-2 yrs) Splashers: First Level in our YMCA Preschool Swimming Lessons Program. Designed as an introduction to water for infants and to teach water safety and play water games. Introduction to entering and exiting the water, getting face wet, and various movements through the water. Parents are REQUIRED to be in the water with each child.
Bubblers: Second level in our YMCA Preschool Swimming Lesson Program. Designed for infants that are
more comfortable in the water and to further teach water safety and play water games. Infants will become acquainted with breath control, floats, surface support and various movements through the water. Parents are REQUIRED to be in the water with each child.
Preschool (3-5 yrs) Bobbers: The child will be introduced to the water by doing bobs, assisted front floats and back floats, kicking while holding on the wall and blowing bubbles.
Floaters: Children will continue to develop their front and back floast unassisted, and be �
Gliders:
introduced to front and back glides assisted. Children will further continue development on their front and back glides by increasing their endurance. They will be introduced to side breathing, side glide, deep water skills, and accessing EMS.
Divers:
Children will further develop all their swimming abilities and increase their endurance.
Surfers:
Children will continue to work on advanced deep-water skills, surface support and be introduced to Front and Back Crawl.
Kicking on front and back for 1 Om, surface support 10 seconds. Learn about boating safety.
Jumpers: Children will be introduced to diving into deep water and continue to develop Front and Back Crawl. Eventually being able to sw1mS£ifte whole length of the pool.
