YMCA OF GREATER PITTSBURGH
IMPACT REPORT
A LETTER FROM PRESIDENT AND CEO AMY HARALSON KIENLE Dear Friends, At the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh, our impact is found in the people whose lives are strengthened through the power of community. It is found in the child who discovers a safe place to learn and belong, the family that receives support during a challenging time, the older adult who finds connection and purpose, and the neighbor who takes an important step toward a healthier future. Every day, our staff bring the Y’s mission to life with compassion, dedication and an unwavering commitment to those we serve. Our volunteers generously share their time and talents, creating welcoming experiences and meaningful connections throughout our communities. Our donors and partners make it possible for us to respond to evolving needs, expand access and ensure that more people have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Together, they are the heart of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh. The stories shared throughout this report demonstrate what is possible when people come together around a common purpose. They reflect lives changed, relationships built and barriers removed. They show how the Y creates spaces where everyone is welcomed, supported and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. While our programs and services may look different across our branches, camps and communities, they are united by one promise: the Y will be here for all. We will continue listening to our neighbors, meeting people where they are and working alongside our community to build a stronger, healthier and more connected Greater Pittsburgh. Thank you for believing in this work and for being part of our YMCA community. Your commitment allows us to create opportunities, inspire hope and ensure that everyone has a place to belong. With gratitude,
Amy Haralson Kienle President and Chief Executive Officer YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh
YMCA OF GREATER PITTSBURGH Each year, the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh provides financial assistance and mission-driven support across our communities, helping remove financial barriers and opening doors to experiences that can make a lasting difference. That impact can mean giving a child the chance to experience summer camp, helping a family access before- and after-school care, teaching someone the life-saving skill of swimming, providing a safe place to live, supporting a veteran on their wellness journey, or simply making sure a neighbor has a place where they feel welcome and connected. Our impact reaches people at every age and stage of life through membership, summer and overnight camp, child care, before- and after-school programs, aquatics and swim lessons, youth sports, health and wellness, housing, food access, community programs and so much more.

OUR IMPACT WAS FELT "The YMCA has been more than just a gym to myself and my family. The pool is where I get to start my day at 6am. The locker room is where I get to chat with and get to know members of the community. The outdoor pool is where I get to make amazing memories with my kids. The YMCA doesn’t just help keep me healthy and strong. The YMCA is where I go to relax, socialize, and have fun on a daily basis." YMCA OF GREATER PITTSBURGH MEMBER
