TEEN ENRICHMENT YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT YMCA Youth in Government gives youth the opportunity to learn firsthand about government and civic issues by taking an active role in the democratic process, boosting youth development and contributing to a stronger community.

Youth in Government is a large component of the Student YMCA program. Although these are three day conferences, the scope is much larger and much of the learning is done in the local Student YMCA. Important Dates: Mock Trial State Conference: November 6-8, 2026

Y ACHIEVERS The YMCA Achievers program of the YMCA of Greater Montgomery is an academic achievement/ career development initiative purposed to help middle and high school students set and pursue high educational and career goals, resulting in graduation and acceptance to an institution of higher learning. Since its inception, 100% of Y Achiever participants have graduated from high school and 80% being accepted to a college or the military. Open to everyone from ages 13 to 18.

YMCA CHRISTIAN VALUES CONFERENCE

The YMCA Christian Values Conference brings together young people from across the country. The conference is held at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, North Carolina. The setting, with its beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, reminds us all of God’s handiwork. Our Mission is inspired by John 17:21, “that they all may be one.” At the conference, we promise to create a diverse atmosphere that is welcoming to all. We strive to exemplify sound moral beliefs & emphasize the importance of being an example to peers on and off the mountain, providing positive, consistent discipline. This camp provides caring adults who are dedicated to the spiritual, mental, and physical growth of all teens as well as create active steps in spiritual growth, supply positive life skills for teens.

AQUATICS Pool Hours Ages 8 & under must have adult supervision. All children under the age of 16 must pass a swim test to be at the pool without an adult. Swim tests are required for all children under the age of 16. We reserve the right to swim test all participants and require appropriate flotation devices.

BARRACUDAS SWIM TEAM

The Montgomery YMCA Barracudas has been the premier swim team in The River Region since 1978. We provide all youth the opportunity to participate in a year round competitive USA/ YMCA Swimming sports team that is dedicated to building athletes who are committed, have strong character, and show great attitude. We offer a wide range of groups from the beginning swimmer all the way to national qualifiers. The Montgomery YMCA Barracudas aims in the development of character, skills, and desire necessary for each swimmer to maximize his/her potential and goals through swimming. Our staff is in constant pursuit to aim in the development of physical fitness, selfesteem, and self-discipline, which assist each swimmer in his/her personal goals and athletic potential. Open to everyone from ages 5 to 21.

Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Adult Tennis Lessons at Bell Road YMCA Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, our Adult Tennis Lessons at the Bell Road YMCA offer a fun, supportive environment for all levels of play. Led by experienced instructors, these sessions focus on improving technique, building confidence, and enjoying the game—all while staying active and connecting with others.

Adult Soccer The league is set-up for competitive play with three divisions, but the overall goal is enjoyable participation for all. The main emphasis of the league is the recreational elements including the fun, enjoyment, good sportsmanship, and friendships that are developed.

Adult Karate Group Exercise Class Looking to build strength, focus, and confidence while learning practical self-defense skills? Our Adult Karate Group Exercise Class is the perfect blend of traditional martial arts and modern fitness. Open to all experience levels, this class teaches fundamental karate techniques while improving balance, flexibility, coordination, and mental discipline.

YOUTH SPORTS Check out our youth sports offerings and get your child in the game where they’ll improve their skills, make new friends, be active with other kids and learn to love a sport at the Y.

WINTER CHEERLEADING - Ages: 6 - 12

YMCA Cheerleading offers girls the chance to get active and have some fun cheering. Cheerleaders will build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships with other girls.

SPORTS SOCCER Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex Youth Soccer - Boys & Girls Ages: 7-16 Years Old

The Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex Recreational Outdoor Soccer Program is for kids who wish to play recreational level soccer. Teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches. This program is designed to meet each player at their current level of play and provide opportunities to increase their individual skills. The goal is that these opportunities lead to an overall enjoyment of the game for years to come. Through participation in practices and games, players learn sportsmanship, how to work as a team and also build quality relationships with players and coaches in the program.

Practices will be during the week at the YMCA Soccer Complex. Games could be on Saturdays or weeknights.

Enterprise YMCA Youth Soccer - Ages: 3-17 Years Old

Youth Soccer at the YMCA provides a fun and energetic environment where kids can learn the fundamentals of the game while building lasting friendships. The program emphasizes teamwork, fair play, and skill development, allowing players of all levels to enjoy the excitement of the sport while growing in confidence and character.

2026 Recreational Mini Indoor Soccer - Ages: 3-6 Years Old

YMCA Recreational Outdoor Mini Soccer Program is for boys and girls 3 to 6 years of age. Teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches. This program is designed for every kid to have fun and provide opportunities to increase their individual skills. Adult Fall Recreational Outdoor Soccer League-Team - Ages: 18 and Older YMCA Adult Spring Recreational Outdoor Soccer League is offered to Men/Women 18 years old and older.

Each Team will participate in 8 League games followed by a single elimination tournament. Various divisions based on playing ability and ages. Coed and Non-Coed. Located at the Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex.

YOUTH RUNNING CLUB The Wilson YMCA Run Club Track Program introduces youth to the exciting world of running and track and field in a fun, encouraging, and active environment. Participants develop speed, endurance, coordination, and confidence while learning proper running techniques and track fundamentals. The program promotes healthy lifestyles, goal setting, teamwork, and sportsmanship while reinforcing the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

The Wilson YMCA Co-Ed Adult Volleyball League offers adults the opportunity to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy friendly competition in a fun and welcoming environment. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate as they develop teamwork, improve their volleyball skills, and enjoy the excitement of league play. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, this program promotes fitness, fellowship, and sportsmanship while reflecting the YMCA’s core values.

BASKETBALL Winter Basketball - Ages: 6 - 15

Winter Basketball is a development-first program designed to help young athletes build skills, confidence, and a lasting love of the game. Through age-appropriate instruction, purposeful practices, and supportive competition, players learn basketball fundamentals while developing teamwork, resilience, decision-making, and sportsmanship. Our approach meets each child where they are. Coaches create an encouraging environment where players are challenged to grow, mistakes are treated as part of learning, and success is measured by progress—not just the scoreboard. Whether a child is new to basketball or ready to strengthen existing skills, every participant has the opportunity to contribute, compete, and feel a sense of belonging. The goal is bigger than winning games: it is to develop capable, confident young people through a positive youth sports experience.

KARATE

YMCA karate classes focus on a variety of skills and areas of personal growth, such as self-defense, self-confidence, personal discipline, respect for others and physical conditioning. Beginner and advanced courses are available. Classes are available for ages 4 and up.

Registration is per month with one or two classes per week. Dates, times, and cost vary by location.

Join us for a high-energy celebration where flavor meets rhythm. Watch the grills heat up in a sizzling showdown at the Steak Off, enjoy sweet treats and friendly competition at the Whisk Bake Off, and move, dance, and groove to the beat at the Zumba concert! Get ready for a spook-tacular night of dancing and fun at our Family Halloween Dance! Dress up in your creepiest, silliest, or most creative costumes and join us for an evening filled with ghoulishly good music and dancing, fun costume moments and photo ops, light refreshments and treats, and a night of unforgettable family fun. This members-only event is a frightfully fun way to celebrate the spooky season together. Don’t forget your dancing shoes—and your fangs! Cost is $40 per couple, $10 per each additional child.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM Kids participating in Before and After School Care learn valuable social and scholastic skills in a safe, fun, and supervised environment. The Y’s Before and After School Care program offers a constructive balance of counselor led activities and free time for child exploration. Daily theme activities include arts and crafts, science/math, nutrition/wellness, presentation and literacy. There is always time for homework, a healthy snack for kids, and outside time on the playground. Discounts cannot be combined.

Days Out

The Y is a working parent’s best friend. When school is out for winter or spring break, teacher work days, or other one-off holidays, the Y is in with all-day, fun active child care. It’s a win-win. There’s no “I’m bored!” from the kids, and you don’t have to stress while you’re at work. Drop off begins at 6:30 am – 9:00 am. All activities will take place between 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Check out will be from 3:00 pm – 6:00pm

Parents Night Out

Whether your kids are looking for new fun and adventures at the Y, or you crave a kids-free night out, the Y’s Parents’ Day or Night Out programs are the perfect way to give yourself some time away while your kids play and learn alongside their peers under the supervision of our caring and trained staff. Dalraida Family YMCA Early Learning

The YMCA’s Early Learning programs provide each child a warm and supportive environment in which to grow. We meet the needs of each child with experiences that foster development and a sense of self esteem. Y programs strive to develop the total child, with particular emphasis on educational, physical, emotional and social skills necessary for success. Our Early Learning Readiness (ELR) program provides a stimulating environment to help children (6 weeks to 4 years) develop the physical, verbal, and social skills which they’ll need to be school-ready.

Caregivers will learn how children develop and how to encourage skill building at home.

Whether you’re into high-energy cardio, strength training, mind-body balance, or something in between, the YMCA of Greater Montgomery has a class that fits your goals, schedule, and lifestyle.

ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS Today, older adults are more health conscious than ever before. The YMCA offers seniors the opportunity to maintain a healthy lifestyle, healthy relationships and a positive outlook on life. Active older adults live longer and have better functional conditioning. That is why the YMCA offers water exercise, yoga, stretching and toning classes, volunteer opportunities, and social events.

LIVESTRONG® PROGRAM AT THE YMCA The YMCA offers a 12-week exercise program for cancer survivors at no cost, accepting survivors of all cancers with physician clearance. The program includes a 3-month membership and training by certified personal and Livestrong trainers.

Participants will meet with trainers 2 times per week for 1.5 hours. The classes will focus on strength, balance, flexibility, endurance, and coordination. Free for members and non-members. Next Session Starts January 6, 2026. Afternoon sessions are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm; evening sessions are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Located at Bell Road YMCA.

WYLD IN THE WOODS Grandview YMCA - November 7th, 2026 at 8:00am

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Thirteenth Annual WYLD in the Woods 5K Trail Run & 1 Mile Fun Run at the Grandview Family YMCA in Millbrook! This exhilarating course begins on pavement in front of the Y before quickly winding into wooded trails featuring scenic views of fields and lakes—finishing back at the YMCA Lodge. Perfect for seasoned runners and first timers alike, this event welcomes all fitness levels. Best of all, your participation supports the YMCA Annual Support Campaign, helping fund essential community programs and scholarships. Come challenge yourself, enjoy the beauty of nature, and make a meaningful impact..

WELLNESS HOMESCHOOL PE Keep your students active, engaged, and having fun all school year long with the Homeschool P.E. Program for 2026–2027! Each week, students will enjoy games, fitness activities, team-building, and opportunities to make new friends in a positive and encouraging environment. Offered various times and dates depending on location. Give your homeschoolers the opportunity to stay active, build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and have a blast throughout the school year!

ROCK STEADY BOXING

Rock Steady Boxing is a health and wellness program designed for people with Parkinson’s Disease, a neurological condition that affects balance, strength, walking, and especially confidence. It’s based on a foundation of non-contact boxing, and it’s very effective for improving all of the symptoms that people with PD typically experience.

The YMCA Rock Steady program utilizes the mechanics of boxing to address physical disability symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease, such as balance issues, stiffness, tremors, coordination difficulties, and soft voice syndrome. The program aims to provide an “arduous hour” of exercise specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s.

EGYM takes the guesswork out of strength training for you. EGYM combines state-of-the-art technology that connects you to electronic equipment that adjusts to you while helping you keep a routine, and making workouts fun. EGYM is a health and wellness amenity offered for members at the YMCA of Greater Montgomery specifically the Bell Road YMCA, Downtown YMCA, and the Grandview YMCA. EGYM is an onboarding & motivational fitness technology that will add more excitement to members’ fitness journey. This was designed with the members in mind. Along with dedicated EGYM Circuit equipment that ensures personalized strength and conditioning, the EGYM Fitness Hub for you will help us elevate your health and wellness to entirely new heights. The eGym circuit takes the guesswork out of your workout routine. Everything is already set for you when you arrive at the Wellness Center. Your progress is easily tracked so that you can see in real-time how you have improved. There are options to turn your workouts into a friendly competition with your workout partners by winning points for working out.

Whether it’s swift and touchless onboarding, intuitive body analyses, flexibility tests, or the visualization of training progress: EGYM Fitness Hub takes member support to a whole new level by addressing the most urgent member needs with a single device.

The Fitness Hub collects the data from members and performs automatic analysis and correctly adjusts all Smart Strength machines.
