Q2 IMPACT REPORT

CELEBRATING PROGRESS, INNOVATION, AND COMMUNITY CHANGE

REFLECTION

Dear YMCA Community,

As we close the second quarter of the year, I want to extend my sincere appreciation for your continued support and partnership. Your dedication to our mission is what fuels the progress we ’ ve made - progress that is both measurable and deeply meaningful in the lives of those we serve.

Throughout Q2, we have continued to build on the momentum of the year ’ s start, delivering programs that uplift youth, engage families, and strengthen the fabric of our community. From impactful summer initiatives to skill-building workshops and wellness programming, each effort reflects the heart of our YMCA: people coming together to serve, lead, and grow.

This quarter’s Impact Report reflects not only the numbers, but stories of the real lives transformed by your efforts, generosity, and involvement. It reminds us that our mission goes beyond programming; it’s about creating environments where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

While we celebrate these wins, we also remain grounded in the reality that there is still much work to be done. Needs remain high, especially in the communities we serve most closely. But with your continued support, through volunteering, sharing our story, or simply showing up, we know we can meet those needs with resilience and compassion.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your role is vital as we continue to strengthen the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth and work toward a more equitable, empowered future for all.

With gratitude, Holli

HIGHLIGHTS

In Q2, the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth continued delivering on our mission to empower youth, support families, and strengthen our community.

This quarter, YMCA Camp Carter served a total of 534 students across all programs, including Overnight Camp, Jack and Jill, and Day Camp. Approximately 30% of participants received financial assistance, with about 25% receiving full scholarships, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to engage in outdoor adventure, team-building, and leadership development within a safe, nurturing environment that fosters growth, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Did you know that Tarrant County ranks among the highest in the state for drowning prevention needs?

That’s why we expanded our Safety Around Water (SAW) initiative in partnership with the Fort Worth Housing Authority addressing drowning prevention for both youth and adults. This life-saving program provides swim instruction to residents in under-resourced communities, building lifelong water confidence and safety skills, in partnership with 50 apartment complexes across the city of Fort Worth.

As of July 31, the Association has delivered thousands of swim lessons across all branches, with about one-third of participants receiving scholarships and nearly 55% receiving full scholarships. For many, this has been their first time in a pool transforming fear into confidence and creating a ripple effect of safety in their families and communities.

Renovations this quarter brought exciting improvements to YMCA Camp Carter. The Alexander Cabin received updates made possible by the Robert D. and Catherine R. Alexander Foundation, while new outdoor bathrooms were completed thanks to a $60,000 grant from Y-USA, matched by a generous donation from the Carter Family Foundation. These investments enhance safety, comfort, and the overall camper experience, ensuring Camp Carter remains a vibrant and welcoming space for youth and families.

This Q2 Impact Report reflects more than milestones it’s a testament to what’s possible when mission meets action. Thank you for your continued support in helping us create spaces where youth thrive, families are supported, and communities grow stronger.
