As a leading non-profit organization, the YMCA of the East Valley opens access to opportunities, relationships, and resources for kids to be who they are and become who they want to be. We believe everyone, regardless of income, deserves access to our services.
Last year the Y awarded $455,214 in Financial Assistance to members. If you would like to contribute and help children and families access our programs, please scan the QR code below to donate.

With an Association Membership, you get access to the 3 Aquatic Centers across the East Valley! With 4 indoor pools, an outdoor pool, children’s splash zone, spa, and sauna, the Y’s Aquatic Centers offer a variety of options for our members!
The Y offers tons of exciting programs and classes to get you in the water and having fun. All aquatic centers are equipped with a pool lift to aid in water accessibility for all members.

Ages 5+
This Adaptive Aquatics swim class is a parent-child class for children ages 5 – 18 years with special needs. The goal of this class is to get your child comfortable in the water, teach them how to be safe around water, and become independent swimmers.
Lap Swimming is available with lanes divided by speed. Swimmers are welcome to swim laps during open lap swim times. Swimmers must choose the appropriate lane for their speed and stroke choice.
Training goals are set by the individual swimmer and a Certified Swim Coach will help create personalized training plans, instruct, and evaluate each participant. Achieve personal goals such as cardiovascular conditioning, weight loss, toning, improving technique and training for triathlons.
The skills taught in the Parent/Child program center around five main components: personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water games, and rescue. A child must be accompanied by an adult in all parent-child classes.
Please Note: All children 2 years and under and/or not potty trained must wear a non-disposable swim diaper while swimming in YMCA pools. Non-disposable swim diapers may be purchased at the front desk for $15.
Ages 15+
A mid-to-high intensity water exercise class focusing on cardiovascular conditioning and muscle toning. This class will help you to tone and condition your body without added stress on your joints.
Ages 8+
The Swim Club offers two levels: Porpoise focuses on improving stroke form and endurance to prepare for the Shark level. Shark advances technique in all four strokes, endurance, starts, and turns. Both levels require passing the previous stage or a tryout with the coach.
Ages 6 – 12
The Youth Swim Program builds water stamina, stroke mechanics, and develops intermediate selfrescue skills. Swimmers learn breaststroke, butterfly, and all major strokes while reinforcing water safety and promoting swimming as a lifelong skill.
Ages 3 - 5
Our Preschool Swim Program helps children build water confidence through exploration and assisted self-rescue skills. They progress to independent movements, basic stroke techniques in front and back crawl, and essential water safety skills like treading and elementary backstroke.

Ages 13+
Our youth and adult beginner level is for participants needing to get comfortable in the water/deep water.
Ages 13+
Youth and adult advance level is for participants working on stroke development for all 4 strokes.

Ages 15+
Learn specific sequences of yoga postures and breathing designed to achieve a balance between physical fitness and a healthy, supple, agile, and functional body. We offer different variations of yoga, including Classic Yoga, Flow Yoga, and Gentle Yoga at select locations.
Ages 12+
Unleash your inner warrior with this mixed martial arts inspired cardio workout. Strike, punch, and kick your way to superior cardio fitness. BODYCOMBAT Express is the same workout in a 45 minute format.
Ages 15+
This barbell class will sculpt, tone, and strengthen your entire body, fast! Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you’ll burn fat, gain strength, and quickly produce lean muscle. Try it once and you will be hooked.
Ages 15+
An energetic, fun workout that fuses fitness techniques from dance, pilates, and strength conditioning that will tone the whole body. This class is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with a bit of a ballet twist.

It’s time to put your tap dancing shoes on! Come and join in on a creative way to keep fit by learning basic tap dancing steps. Bring your own athletic shoes or tapping shoes appropriate for low impact class. Don’t miss out on this fun way to move!

Pilates Reformer uses Allegro Reformer machines for a low-impact workout that strengthens your core, tones your body, and builds lean muscle. Instructors guide you through flexible, adjustable movements tailored to your level.

A beginning exercise class with a focus on easy-tofollow exercises and stretching.

Core & Floor is a 45-minute workout for all fitness levels, using resistance tubes, weight plates, and bodyweight to build core strength, endurance, and help prevent injuries.

Step classes use an elevated platform for a fun, calorie-burning cardio workout that strengthens and tones your body. With easy-to-follow choreo, we offer variations like Step Aerobics and Classic Step.

Pilates Mat will help you to develop your core strength while focusing on coordination, flexibility, and stability-based movements. This workout is low impact and is ideal for all abilities.

Similar to Body Pump, Power Flex is a choreographed barbell class that focuses on large muscle groups. This program is appropriate for individuals with varying abilities.

Introducing our NEW Boxing Fitness Classes! Come be a part of a fun, fitness, boxing class that incorporates the fundamentals of boxing such as stance, combination punching, and footwork through various workouts.

GRIT is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. GRIT Strength may also be offered at select locations.


Total Resistance exercise is a training program that allows an individual to leverage their own body weight and use the force of gravity to increase strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and core stability simultaneously.

Enjoy our indoor cycle classes on the awardwinning IC7 Indoor Cycle with an engaging digital experience. An extremely accurate WattRate Direct Power Meter, Coach by Color intensity guide, and precise magnetic resistance making the IC7 a one of a kind indoor cycle experience.
This mix of salsa cardio and hip-hop dance will get your hips moving and your heart pumping. You’ll have so much fun, you won’t even realize you’ve worked out for fifty minutes! Suitable for all fitness levels, we also offer variations of Zumba, such as Zumba Pop and STRONG by Zumba, at select locations.





At the YMCA, kids have the chance to let their creative talents shine! They can explore aerial movements, learn how to dance, juggle, and even unicycle. Coaches and peers provide encouragement as children build strength, confidence, and coordination through tumbling, balancing, as well as other floor exercises. From jumps and cartwheels to handstands and beyond, the program equips children with the skill set needed to take their creativity to the next level!

Ages 10 +
This class is perfect for an aerialist who knows the basics. You will continue to increase strength and coordination skills to improve aerial awareness and learn intermediate tricks and moves on different equipment.
Ages 6+ / 3 - 5
Dance participants will learn basic ballet positions with feet, port a bra (carriage of the arms) various jumps, and leaps while having fun. Parents are to observe outside of the classroom as this class is structured like a studio program.

Ages 16+
This class is perfect for the new aerialist. You will learn strength and coordination skills to improve your aerial awareness and learn basic tricks and moves on different circus equipment. Equipment included will be on a rotating schedule.
Ages 6 - 12
This class is designed to introduce participants various dance expressions like Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics and Modern Dance.
Ages 5-16
An entry-level class aimed at older children, Cheer is designed to teach them important skills such as strength, flexibility, and coordination. Kids will also get the chance to learn simple chants, cheers, and dance routines. This is a great way for them to stay active and have some fun!
*Depending on the location, this class may be split into two separate classes: Cheer I and Cheer II.
Ages 6-16
This program explores the advanced movements of tumbling, contortion, and dance. This class is designed for those with some experience, and thus it follows a more intensive structure like that of a studio program. Parents are to observe outside of the classroom.
Ages 5 - 16 / 3 - 5
This course offers a great introduction to the essential movements of hip-hop. By taking this class, your child will learn fun and challenging choreography set to today’s popular hip-hop tunes. Parents are to observe outside of the classroom as this class is structured like a studio program.

Ages 7+ / 16+
We offer an adult version and youth version of this class. This class is perfect for the new aerialist. You will learn strength and coordination skills to improve your aerial awareness and learn basic tricks and moves on different circus equipment.
Sept 2024 - May 2025
Have you ever wanted to run away and join the circus? Well now you can! This is the place to be for children, ages 3 and up, to learn basic skills such as unicycling, diabolo, aerial arts and so much more. Circus classes are designed for current participants to keep up their strength and skills and gives new participants an opportunity to experience new and different acts to inspire them for the upcoming performing season.
Ages 3 – 5
Kinder Gymnastics teaches basic tumbling and balance skills to preschoolers. This class introduces skills like focusing, listening, and patience while in a fun learning environment.
Ages 5+
Students will enjoy this fun and exciting course, they will be moving towards higher levels of gymnastics abilities. In an enthusiastic learning environment, this class will provide self-discipline, enhance physical strength, and build self-confidence. Apparatus include floor, balance beam, tumbling and much more.




Get in the game with YMCA Youth Sports! The YMCA is here to help children grow into active, skillful athletes while also learning valuable life lessons like teamwork, patience, and dedication. We offer a variety of leagues, clinics, and programs for those looking to learn fundamentals to those focusing on developing skills.

Our Youth Basketball Leagues serve as a fun way to introduce children to the sport of basketball and improve all player’s skills as well as athletic abilities. Our leagues emphasize sportsmanship through team-building and skill development.

Our YMCA Youth Volleyball program teaches participants beginning and intermediate volleyball skills while learning to play on a team. Improve your hand-eye coordination, work on speed, and practice techniques to help you excel in the sport!

We offer two Martial Arts & Fitness Classes:
• Young Children’s Class (Ages 5-8)
• Youth & Adult Class (Ages 9+)
Our martial arts and fitness classes offer fun, inclusive, and age-appropriate instruction that promotes fitness, discipline, focus, and self-defense. Students of all ages build strength, endurance, flexibility, confidence, leadership, and the opportunity to earn belt ranks over multiple sessions.
Ages 3 – 5
We offer various Itty Bitty Sports:
• Itty Bitty T-Ball
• Itty Bitty Soccer
• Itty Bitty Basketball
• Itty Bitty Sports Combo
Itty Bitty Sports programs help youth to develop the basic skills and fundamentals of the chosen sport. Participants will learn the basic building blocks for success in a fun environment. Offered sports may vary by location.
Participants will meet and perform conditioning skills such as knee highs, heel kicks, ladders, etc. Runners will meet on the track in the fitness center at the beginning of each class. Please send a water bottle with your child to stay hydrated!
Ages 10+
Participants will meet and perform speed and agility skills such as ladders, cone drills, box jumps, etc. Participants will meet in the Group X room located in the back of the wellness center. Please send a water bottle with your child to stay hydrated.




The Y nurtures the potential of every child and teen by supporting their unique youth development journey through comprehensive programming. From cradle to career, the Y provides all youth with the tools and resources they need to succeed in life.
March 24 - 28 | March 31 - April 4
During school breaks, and vacations the Highland Y and Redlands Y offers a fun, educational Day Camp program for all kids ages 5-14. Each day from 7am-6pm is filled with adventure, from crafts to swimming and outdoor activites, there’s always fun to be had at the Y’s Day Camp!

Kids Club is a FREE childcare service for Y members! Our staff will watch your children (ages 18 months to 12 years) for up to 2 hours while you work out. Children must be Y facility members to participate.
At our Preschool we focus on nurturing a child’s development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our Active Older Adults program is a great way to stay healthy, active, and connected! Classes are designed to fit various fitness goals and abilities, offering a supportive environment where you can feel comfortable at your own pace. With a focus on improving overall well-being, our classes provide expert guidance, social interaction, and encouragement tailored to all skill levels, even for those with physical limitations.
Ages 50+
Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform exercises. Relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Cardiovascular exercise is the highlight of Silver Sneakers® Circuit. Featuring upper-body strength workout using hand weights, elastic tubing, ball with non-impact aerobic activity. A chair is available for support and easy head-to-toe stretching.

SilverSneakers® Classic utilizes hand weights, elastic tubing, and exercise balls to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Zumba Gold adapts the traditional Zumba formula with modified moves and pacing to suit active older participants and beginners. This friendly and fun dance class combines salsa cardio and hip-hop, getting you moving to the music!
