PRESCHOOL PROGRAM Shrimp/Kipper (6-12 months) Inia/Perch (13-36 months)
The skills taught in the Parent/Child program center around five main components: personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water games and rescue.
Pike with Parent (2.5-5 years) This class is for
those children who are not quite ready to be separated from their parent. The class will be structured like a pike class but will also focus on the child becoming independent from the parent while still advancing their swimming ability.
Pike (3-5 years) Designed to help swimmers feel
more comfortable and confident in and around the water. Emphasis on water safety, kicking, submerged bubble blowing and floating.
Eel (3-5 years) Designed for children who can in-
dependently place their faces in the water. Emphasis on water safety, freestyle, backstroke and water comfort.
YOUTH PROGRAM Polliwog (6-12 years) Designed for participants with little or no previous water experience. Emphasis floating, water adjustment, kicking, streamlining and safety.
Guppy (6-12 years) Designed for swimmers who
have had minimal swimming experience. Focuses on helping students gain more mobility in the water unassisted. A child must be able to float on his/her back and swim 15 feet independently to participate.
Minnow (6-12 years) Designed to refine basic
swimming skills including rotary breathing for front crawl, breaststroke kick and elementary backstroke. Swimmers will work on building endurance.
Fish (6-12 years) Continues to develop freestyle,
backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly skills. Emphasis will be on stroke refinement, building endurance, treading and flip turns.
Flying Fish (6-12 years) Designed for swimmers
Ray (3-5 years) Designed for swimmers who are
