For 148 years, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanoooga has been faithful stewards of funds enrtrusted to us. Our budget, including investments made by our members and benefactors, is a tool for accomplishing our cause.

The year 2020

was challenging for all mankind. At the Y, we endured and conquered many obstacles and our staff rose to each challenge, pivoting in new ways they/we never thought possible. Our operations evolved and changed as the peak of the pandemic crept into our area.

The needs of the community were many and often shifted throughout the course of the year.

2020 IMPACT Food Programs During 2020, 400,000 healt hy meals were prepared and distributed to children, and an additional 26,000 pounds of food given to families who are food insecure.

Essent ial Worker Childcare/ Preschools Nearly 700 children have part icipat ed in Essent ial Worker Childcare since the onset of the pandemic. Our combined Downtown & St. Paul's Preschools have served 78 children, with an additional preschool on Willow Street set to open soon.

Tornado Relief 4 weeks of immediat e response to victims of the April 2020 tornado, including providing shelter, food and thousands of supplies available daily in the weeks following the tornado.

Support Services 14,000 calls were made to vulnerable families (more than 350 of these calls to seniors).

Corporat e Memberships Despite many corporations moving to work- from- home operations during the pandemic, 280 local companies chose to continue their support of the Y.
