Pat Paumen
Pat has been a proud member of the YMCA since 2012, joining after a friend encouraged her to try a group fitness class at the Schlossman branch. Since then, she and her husband, Frank, have made the YMCA a regular part of their lives, attending classes at both the Fercho and Schlossman locations. They currently participate in SilverSneakers classes twice a week and enjoy attending ForeverWell social events. For Pat, staying active while having fun is essential, and she always looks forward to the exciting workouts offered at the YMCA. The instructors know how to keep things lively by wearing costumes or leading the group in a playful chicken dance! One of Pat’s favorite memories is from this past New Year's Eve class. The class celebrated ringing in the New Year with noisemakers and festive hats.

Recently, Pat and Frank attended a potluck where a dermatologist shared valuable insights, which they found both informative and engaging. They were excited to share what they learned with their family and friends. The YMCA’s ForeverWell social events have truly offered them a wonderful variety of experiences.
Beyond the YMCA, Pat enjoys biking around the neighborhood with Frank, bringing smiles to their neighbors as they cruise by on their matching bicycles. She is also a dedicated volunteer at local nursing homes, and enjoys dancing with her husband at various community venues. Thanks to the YMCA, Pat stays active, engaged, and continues to spread joy to those around her.

Join us monthly for book club at the YMCA. All are welcome, even if you haven’t finished the book. We meet monthly from 9:30-10:00am in Dawson Lounge. Please save the date for our upcoming book swap on May 6th. Emma will be collecting books the week prior at both locations.

Save the date for the 3rd annual United Way Day of Action – an event that harnesses our local community’s caring spirit by activating hundreds of volunteers to complete much-needed volunteer projects, raise awareness around community needs, and uplift our local nonprofits and those they serve.
On Wednesday, May 14, the YMCA of the Northern Sky will be participating in the United Way Day of Action.
Create a lovely DIY Pipe Cleaner Bouquet of flowers that last a lifetime, and take a bouquet home for you or for someone you care about!
