Linda has been a member of the YMCA for 12 years. The first week she moved to Fargo in 2012, she toured the YMCA and became a member. Now, you can find her at the YMCA three days a week, attending group fitness classes in the pool and using the EGYM equipment. Her favorite part about being a member is using our aquatic center.
Since joining the YMCA, Linda has made many new friends, creating connections she may not have found elsewhere. One of the primary reasons she attends classes regularly is to socialize during and after classes. After a workout, you can often spot her with her friends in the Social Center. These moments are filled with camaraderie as they discuss their workout over coffee. Linda has frequently made plans to get coffee or lunch at local restaurants with her friends from the YMCA. What makes the YMCA more than just a Fitness Center is how these connections have transcended outside the YMCA.
Outside of the YMCA, Linda is an avid reader. She belongs to three different book clubs, including the ForeverWell book club. These groups allow her to explore books she might not have chosen, keeping her engaged and inspired. We encourage all ForeverWell participants to join a book club or read some of our monthly book selections.
Linda enjoys spending time with family outside the YMCA, traveling, and volunteering. Another hobby that she enjoys is genealogy. Linda has successfully mapped her family tree back many generations and visited many places where her ancestors once lived. Belonging to the YMCA has helped Linda live a balanced and healthy lifestyle surround by friends and family.
