Lee Grineski
Lee has been a proud member of the YMCA for over twenty years. She joined the YMCA with her family so that her kids could participate in our youth programs. While her kids were in various programs, Lee would attend Group Fitness classes or use the Fitness Center. After she retired, she began swimming and visiting the YMCA more often.
One of Lee's favorite features of the YMCA is the large aquatic center. She has always loved the water, growing up on a swim team. Today, she swims regularly with a friend and appreciates having multiple lanes to choose from. Lee started visiting the YMCA three days a week at 5 AM and gradually increased her visits to five days a week. On average, she swims about eight miles a week, often following her swim with sessions on the EGYM, biking, or balance exercises. Establishing these routines has motivated her to visit frequently and reconnect with familiar faces. Lee is motivated to go to the YMCA because it allows her to stay social while improving her bone health and overall well-being. YMCA members like Lee can also benefit from rewards on the YMCA360 app and website. Members can check in using their digital barcodes, watch instructional videos, or complete challenges to earn points and redeem prizes anytime throughout the year. Outside the YMCA, Lee enjoys riding her bike, participating in a book club, and soaking up time in nature. Thanks to the YMCA she can maintain her health and socialize within her community!

ForeverWell Future Book Club Books:
Join us monthly for book club at the YMCA. All are welcome, even if you haven’t finished the book. We meet monthly from 9:30-10:00am in Dawson Lounge. Please save the date for our upcoming book swap on May 6th. Emma will be collecting books the week prior at both locations.

Save the date for the 3rd annual United Way Day of Action – an event that harnesses our local community’s caring spirit by activating hundreds of volunteers to complete much-needed volunteer projects, raise awareness around community needs, and uplift our local nonprofits and those they serve.
On Wednesday, May 14, the YMCA of the Northern Sky will be participating in the United Way Day of Action.
