DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN VENICE

DAY 2 - VENICE

Start today with a short walking tour with a local guide for some stories of the city’s labyrinthine streets and campos (squares), then enjoy a gondola ride down the Grand Canal. A visit to Venice is not complete without a ride on a Gondola, a mode of transport that has been in existence in Venice for over 1000 years! Soak up the vibrant atmosphere in St. Mark’s Square, while marvelling at the beautiful mosaics that adorn the Basilica and maybe visit the Doge’s Palace, with its origins dating back to the 14th century. It is advisable to take a tour of this important Venetian landmark to fully understand its extensive history.

VENICE

Arrive in Venice for a 3 night stay before boarding the Venice SimplonOrient-Express to Paris

DAY 3 - VENICE

After breakfast this morning, continue your adventures in Venice. Don’t miss a trip on a romantic gondola ride, where a stripe-shirted gondolier will paddle you down the winding waterways of the city. It’s a great way to see the city’s architecture from a different perspective! For a relaxing afternoon, stroll the sandy shores of Venice’s Lido or take a boat out to the island of Murano, famous for its exquisite glass-making. This evening, why not head to the world-famous Harry’s Bar - home of the Bellini.

Embark on one of the world’s most luxurious journeys today as you board the gleaming carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. You’ll receive the five-star treatment immediately as your steward shows you to your deluxe sleeping compartment, ornately decorated with the finest linens and polished wooden panels. A fine three-course lunch will be served in one of the opulent restaurant cars, all restored from the 1920s and 1930s, as the train meanders through the stunning scenery of the Italian Dolomites, and the Austrian and Swiss Alps. While away the hours meeting new people, relaxing in the bar car and tucking into a sumptuous afternoon tea served in your compartment. DAY 5 - ARRIVAL INTO PARIS

After a blissful night’s sleep, you’ll wake up to a tasty breakfast served to your compartment by your steward. Continue relaxing on board before the train pulls into Paris in the late morning. Make your way to your hotel for a two-night stay and begin exploring the incredible ‘City of Light’. Why not shop the boutiques along the Champs-Élysées, dine on extraordinary French cuisine or head to the bohemian Montmartre district for views over the city’s rooftops out to the Eiffel Tower.

DAY 6 - PARIS

Spend a full day exploring the fashion and romance capital of the world! Be sure to take in the views from the top of the Eiffel Tower and perhaps enjoy a scenic boat tour along the River Seine for views of the city’s famous landmarks from a different perspective. Culture lovers will enjoy a trip to the Louvre, home of the Mona Lisa. In the evening, enjoy the world-famous Moulin Rouge show and dinner.

DAY 10 - MILAN TO ST. MORITZ

DAY 11 - ST. MORITZ TO ZERMATT

DAY 12 - DAY TRIP TO GORNERGRAT

DAY 1 AND 2 - ROME

On arrival in Rome, check into your hotel for a two-night stay and set off to start exploring. Admire the breath-taking collection of ancient art, sculptures and statues at museums or why not take a trip to the enchanting Vatican?

DAY 3 - ROME TO STRESA

Travel from Rome to Stresa, for beautiful Lake Maggiore. Like other northern Italian lakes, Lake Maggiore is an idyllic spot that has attracted visitors since the beginning of the 18th century.

DAY 4 - STRESA

On the shores of the Borromean Gulf, Stresa is ideally situated as a base to explore the lake’s villages, islands and natural beauty.

DAY 5 - STRESA TO COMO

Catch a Trenitalia train from Stresa to Como via Gallarate. Once in town, take a leisurely boat tour of Lake Como and enjoy the sights of grand villas, rolling hillside vineyards, historic towns, alpine peaks, and wooded islands that line the shore.

DAY 6 - COMO

After breakfast, the rest of the day is yours to explore the beautiful scenery of Lake Como and the charming town as you wish. The Centro Storico, or old town, is a maze of picturesque little streets, squares and cafés.

DAY 7 - COMO TO DESENZANO

Board a Trenitalia train from Como to Milan to Desenzano and Lake Garda. Treat yourself to an indulgent day exploring the boutique shops and restaurants of Desenzano del Garda or enjoying city views from the Torre di San Martino.

Take in the views of Lake Garda and the Alps while relaxing on one of the town’s beaches or take a boat trip out on the lake.

DAY 9 - DESENZANO TO MILAN

Take another Trenitalia train from Desenzano to Milan..Visit the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent or stroll through the Brera district.

Take a ride on the Gornergrat Cog Railway, which climbs from 5,262 feet above sea level. From the top, enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramas in all of Switzerland.

DAY 13 - ZERMATT TO INTERLAKEN

Use your Swiss Pass to travel from Zermatt to Visp, Visp to Interlaken. On arrival in the classic Swiss mountain village, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay and begin exploring!

DAY 14 - DAY TRIP TO JUNGFRAUJOCH

Climb to Europe’s highest altitude railway station on Jungfrau Mountain, at a colossal 11,332 feet high.

DAY 15 - INTERLAKEN TO ZURICH

Arrive in Zurich and check into your hotel for an overnight stay. Be sure to visit the Altstadt or Old Town.

DAY 4 - ROME

In the morning, check out of your hotel after breakfast and catch the train direct to Rome. Make your way to your hotel before you immerse yourself in the ancient world with a guided skip-the-line tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

DAY 5 - ROME

Spend a full day fully exploring the history of the “Eternal City”. First, it’s time to take advantage of the skip-the-line entrance to tour the Vatican City, taking in the amazing artifacts in the Museum and admiring the breath-taking beauty of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon why not take a stroll through the many impressive streets and piazzas that make up central Rome.
