DAY 4: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK Welcome to Glacier National Park, home to two different mountain ranges, 130 lakes, 1,000 species of plants, and 16,000 square miles of protected land. DAY 5: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK Today, you’ll explore the serene sights of Glacier National Park on a scenic boat cruise of Two Medicine Valley. Enjoy a relaxing cruise while listening to the Blackfoot Indian folklore surrounding this gorgeous area. The Two Medicine Valley boat cruise will take your breath away! DAY 6: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK Today, you will continue exploring Glacier National Park on the Big Sky Circle Tour. Drive over the breathtaking Maria’s Pass. Enjoy the local wildlife at Goat Lick. Venture along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, a windy-mountain thoroughfare that spans 50 miles through the park. After your tour, you’ll return to Glacier Park Lodge for your final night’s stay. Today you will experience the majesty of Yellowstone, the world’s first national park. Formed from the remains of an extinct super-volcano that exploded around 600,000 years ago, the park is a full of alpine lakes, flowing rivers, jagged peaks, expansive forests, hot springs and geysers. Your included tour allows you to experience all of this while stopping at a number of thrilling landmarks such as the world-famous geyser, Old Faithful. Keep your eyes open for the abundant wildlife that inhabit Yellowstone such as elk, bears, pronghorn, and even wolves! Yellowstone is an absolute wonder! (Overnight in West Yellowstone)

DAY 2: SALT LAKE CITY Keep your camera handy as your train makes its way west. This journey from Chicago takes you across the waving fields of grain that make up the Great Plains and through the soaring peaks of the Rocky Mountains. DAY 3: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK Awake this morning and continue on to Yellowstone. Your journey takes in some amazing mountain scenery along the way. (Overnight in West Yellowstone)

DAY 5: OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK You are transported back to Salt Lake City today to board your train heading to the West Coast and Yosemite National Park. Enjoy dinner and spectacular views of the city at a popular restaurant before departing on the train in the evening. (Overnight onboard Amtrak)

DAY 6: SAN FRANCISCO This evening you will arrive in San Francisco. Check into your hotel to relax or head out to enjoy dinner or some sights. The evening is yours. (Overnight in San Francisco)

DAY 7: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK Today’s trip to Yosemite National Park is one of the highlights of your journey. After being picked up from your hotel, you will ride through California’s agricultural heartland. This is a relaxing trip through some very charming countryside. Your visit to Yosemite itself is a chance to experience all the park is famous for: rocky peaks such as El Capitan, abundant pine forest, a variety of wildlife, and more. DAY 8: LOS ANGELES This morning you begin a truly scenic journey down to the California coast. Savor the beautiful rolling hills and amazing ocean views as you travel south. DAY 9: OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK Before your train departs in the evening, take some time to explore Los Angeles. Use your included tour which will help you learn all about Hollywood with a visit to some of the homes of the stars. DAY 10: GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK You arrive in Williams, Arizona today headed for the Grand Canyon itself. Enjoy breakfast at the Fred Harvey Restaurant as you prepare to board the Grand Canyon Railway. This classic train ride runs through the largest expanse or ponderosa pine forest views of some charming southwest scenery. The train ends at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Formed over millions of years, the waters of the Colorado River have carved the Canyon into one of the wonders of the natural world. Your included tour picks you up from the South Rim and takes you all around for sightseeing while your guide provides a wealth of fascinating information about the area. DAY 4: CAPITOL REEF AND BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARKS Continue your adventure from Moab en route to Capitol Reef. Probably the least known and least crowded park in Utah (though equally as mesmerizing), this national park features cliffs, hidden arches, massive sandstone domes that resemble capitol buildings, and deep canyons. When you arrive in Bryce Canyon, the highlights will most certainly be the distinctive hoodoos (red rock pillars), bristlecone pine trees (the oldest trees in the world), and views from Sunrise, Sunset, and Inspiration Point. (Overnight in Springdale)

DAY 5: ZION NATIONAL PARK AND LAKE POWELL Today, explore Zion National Park, one of Utah’s most breathtaking landscapes. Featuring 200 miles of picturesque trails, stunning vistas, vermillion cliffs, canyons, jagged skyline, and flora and fauna, this national park is a must-visit! Must see highlights of the park are Court of the Patriarchs, Emerald Pools, Weeping Rock, Temple of Sinawava and the Grotto. After touring Zion, head back to Springdale and enjoy a relaxing evening. DAY 6: WILLIAMS, AZ Depart Springdale this morning and make your way to Flagstaff. Be sure to stop at Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam along the way! FAQs How do I make a reservation? Can I fly to the first city then pick up my Rail Vacation package and then fly home from a different city? Yes, absolutely! You can take the Amtrak train one way and then fly home from a different city. This is very popular with our Independent Rail Vacations and our Rail and Sail Vacation packages.

Can I add on additional sightseeing activities and/or additional hotel nights to one of your Rail Vacation packages? Yes, you can add additional sightseeing activities and/or hotel nights to most existing rail vacation packages we offer. There are a couple ways to do this.

Can I take a specific Rail Vacation that you offer in a reverse order? Yes! We offer most of our rail vacation packages in reverse order. Please call and speak with one of our Rail Vacation Specialists at 800-268-7252 for reverse options.

Where are your hotels located? All of our hotels are centrally located within each city we visit. Most are within a short distance of the train station and local sights. Hotel upgrades are available upon request.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs? We can provide special menu selections on most trains with 72-hour advance notice. We require 24-hour advance notice for Acela Express First Class service. You do not need to provide advance notice for vegetarian meals.

How long before the train departs should I be at the station? The recommended arrival time for each station varies, but plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. If you need help with baggage, tickets or any other services, or if you are departing from a large or busy station, we recommend you arrive at the station even earlier. To confirm your train will be arriving on time, please call 1-800-USA-RAIL.

How much luggage can I bring?

On the website: You will be able to view the Amtrak rooming upgrade options, hotel upgrade options and additional sightseeing options through the online booking process. Details of the upgrades and price increases are listed next to each item. Additional charges may apply. When you speak with a Vacation Specialist, request an explanation of the upgrade options to your vacation package as you wish. Additional charges may apply.

In general, each passenger is allowed two (2) carry-on bags, each not to exceed 50 lbs. (23 kg), 28 x 22 x 14 inches (700 x 550 x 350 millimeters), free of charge. Additionally, each passenger can check up to four bags - two free of charge and two for $20 per bag, each not to exceed 50 lbs. (23 kg), 75 linear inches (length + width + height) if the origin and destination stations offer checked baggage service. *Subject to change

When I upgrade to sleeping accommodations, are my meals included?

Yes! On most long distance trains all meals are included in the dining car during meal times when upgrading to a sleeping accommodation.

Seniors* Travelers aged 65 and over receive a 10% discount on the rail portion of an Amtrak Vacations® package. Valid governmentissued ID may be requested as proof of age. The senior discount is not applicable for travel on Amtrak Auto Train®, USA Rail Pass, nor on certain connecting Amtrak Thruway services. The discount is available on Acela Express® trains on weekends only. On crossborder services operated jointly by Amtrak and VIA® Rail Canada, a 10% senior discount is applicable to travelers aged 60 and over.

Children*

National Association of Railroad Passengers (NARP)* / ** Members of the NARP receive a 10% discount on the rail portion of an Amtrak Vacations package. NARP members must provide a valid, personalized NARP membership card and a photo ID at time of ticket purchase, and at time of travel, to receive the discount.

Children and infants must travel with an adult who is at least 18 years or older. Children aged 2 to 12 receive a 50% discount on the rail portion of an Amtrak Vacations package when accompanied by at least one person paying an adult rail fare. Children under age 2 are permitted to travel free of any rail fare, provided they do not occupy a separate seat if the seat is needed for any passenger aged 2 and over. One child under age 2 is permitted to travel free with each adult traveler (additional children under age 2 may travel under the 50% discount policy described above).

* Sleeping car, Business class and First class upgrades are permitted upon payment of full accommodations charges.
