Young life’s Developing Global Leaders program is widely held as one of the most effective campaigns Young Life has ever initiated. Future growth of the program is powered by high-capacity donors who are committed to reaching the nations through the next generation of leadership. By the year 2025, we are on pace to offer full ride scholarships to 250 students per year resulting in 1000 students active within the program across 70+ countries.
As of 2022, DGL students have represented 76 of the 104 countries where Young Life has active ministry. Young Life Developing Global Leaders attend university full-time while serving as Young Life leaders in their local communities – making disciples and training new leaders to reach more kids. Since 2009, we estimate that DGL students have reached three quarters of a million teenagers around the globe with the good news of Jesus.
Ruth (center) graduated with honors in Feb. 2022 with a degree in environmental science. She continues to serve as a Young Life leader discipling young women in her community.
