DGL TIMELINE

2009 DGL Program launches awarding 79 full-ride scholarships to students across 21 countries to attend university in their own country

2015 DGL Program expands to 50 countries

2021 DGL Program celebrates 500 DGL graduates

POISED FOR GROWTH Young life’s Developing Global Leaders program is widely held as one of the most effective campaigns Young Life has ever initiated.

Future growth of the program is powered by high-capacity donors who are committed to reaching the nations through the next generation of leadership.

By the year 2025, we are on pace to offer full-ride scholarships to 250 students per year resulting in 1000 students active within the program across 70+ countries.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS DGL? As of 2022, DGL students have represented 76 of the 104 countries where Young Life has active ministry.

Young Life Developing Global Leaders attend university full-time while serving as Young Life leaders in their local communities – making disciples and training new leaders to reach more kids.

Since 2009, we estimate that DGL students have reached three quarters of a million teenagers around the globe with the good news of Jesus.

What I love the most about my job is that it has granted me professional exposure on the international front. I believe the experience I am getting will make me competitive in the job market locally and internationally.

Talking to dental patients and leading them to invest in these high-end procedures involves a lot of emotional intelligence and the art of persuasion. I get to apply my gifts of empathy and listening skills hearing their stories and getting them the help they need. I am so grateful to God that I have this job, especially in a country with a 90% unemployment rate. It is truly a testament to God's grace and goodness.

YOUR GENEROSITY OPENS A WORLD OF POSSIBILITY

FULL 4-YEAR DGL SPONSORSHIP $250/month ($3,000/year) TOTAL $12,000 over 4 years SPONSORSHIP PROVIDES: Educational tuition and fees Ministry and leadership training Small living stipend to cover transportation and other costs

DGL is seeking funding to grow by an additional 25 students per year for the next 4 years Each set of additional 25 students added into the program costs $300,000.

Additionally, we are seeking funding to expand in-country staff to oversee excellence of the program at $75,000/year or $300,000 over 4-years.
