IMPACT REPORT 2025
Thank you for being such generous supporters of Young Life’s Developing Global Leaders program. Your vision for what is possible when formal education is part of a young person's story is critical to our mission.
Thank you for entrusting DGL with resources to provide scholarships to these uniquely talented young people who otherwise would not have the means to pay for a university education.
We are delighted to share this update on the 10 DGL students you are supporting.

What are your a
My name is Chantal. I live in the Ruhango District of Rwanda with my sister, her husband, and her children. I was born into a very happy family and we lived peacefully until my parents separated when I was nine years old. Life then became very difficult for my mother and me. Finding food and money to continue my education was a constant struggle Despite many hardships, my mother prayed a lot, holding on to the hope that I could still complete my studies like other children because I loved to learn.
Fortunately, I was invited to attend Young Life one day while playing basketball. I went to club and loved it and eventually met Jesus at camp. The life I was living had made me feel worthless, but when I started a relationship with Jesus, he began to heal me and my family.
How have you seen God moving in Young Life ministry these last months?
Our club, God has been with us!
• We got an increased number of kids at club.
• During the conducted camp in my area, God protected kids during transport to and from the campsite.
• By God’s grace, 4 new clubs were opened
As a Developing Global Leader, I attend the University of Rwanda. When I earn my business information and technology degree, I will be the first college graduate in my family My vision for the future is to become a skilled IT professional while serving God and helping my community. I aspire to support children abandoned by their families, teaching them the Word of God and encouraging hard work. Through my faith, I aim to positively impact lives and help others find hope and purpose.
