Dear Friend, God has given us a powerful tool and a tremendous opportunity through Developing Global Leaders (DGL). We are witnessing the Lord of the harvest raise up dynamic men and women eager to see their countries changed for Christ. The DGL program makes a way for some of Young Life's best and brightest to stay actively involved in ministry while they earn their college degree. I invite you to meet a few students who are part of our newest class of Developing Global Leaders. Without a doubt, DGL is producing true world changers. HILLARY DANIS TIPITAPA, NICARAGUA
UNIVERSITY OF AMÉRICAS MAJOR: TOURISM AND HOTEL ADMINISTRATION My name is Hillary and I live alone with my two younger sisters in Tipitapa, Nicaragua because my mother works abroad to provide for us. As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying tourism and hotel administration at the University of the Americas. I love to travel and meet new people and since tourism is one of the pillars of our economy, I hope to contribute to the future of my family and country as I work in this growing field. My goal is to be able to have a job doing what I enjoy and carry the love of Jesus everywhere I am placed. I am the coordinator of a club in Tipitapa, and hope to continue loving on kids and pointing them to the God who loves them. I will be the first in my family to graduate from university.
ANNA KARAPETYAN YEREVAN, ARMENIA
ARMENIAN STATE UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS MAJOR: ECONOMICS My name is Anna and I live in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia with my grandparents, mother and brother. My father passed away when I was a child. As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying economics at Armenian State University of Economics. I have chosen this field of study because it is modern, opens doors to a wide array of business opportunities, and is well paid in my country. After graduation I hope to not only help the financial situation of my family but contribute to my community in how I manage finances, time and people with integrity and gentleness. I am so proud to become the first in my family to graduate from university.

PATRICK "PATTY" ISMIBI NGORORERO, RWANDA
CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY OF RWANDA (CUR) MAJOR: WELFARE AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT My name is Patrick and I live in western Rwanda with my mother and two siblings. My father passed away when I was young. Despite all of the limiting circumstances in my life, since a young age, I have dreamt of attending a university. Upon hearing the news of being selected into the Developing Global Leaders program, I felt loved, hopeful, and excited. I am attending the Catholic University of Rwanda to study social work. I want to study social work to help marginalized individuals regardless of their background. I hope to further develop my skills and passions in order to see sustainable development of community resources in my community and throughout Rwanda. I am committed to helping develop my community through leading Young Life and empowering new leaders.
