This project revolves around extending and renovating of a mid-century branch library, known as the Marcy Library, built under the John Lindsay Mayor Adminstration as part of The Brooklyn Public Library.
The programs are designed to expand their private educational operations as well as the public-interface through audio-visual centers. Intercepting Lines creates spaces where it blends both the voids and the volumes together, becoming a middle ground where occupants can interact with.
This project centralizes a roof-tectonic organization system with a ground stereotomic organizational system towards the development of a hybrid land-form building. This project uses in-depth research on controlling rainwater between the roof and ground.
Soft Boundaries plays with the idea of curvatures and punctured roofs in order to harvest rainwater throughout the system.

Branches is about spatial and temporal relationships among body, building, and constructed ground context through branching pathways and extrusions of abstract boundaries.

This project studies programs for vegetal bodies. The site is located where the edge of a city gives way to the water, with continuous human activity. While it’s surrounded by water and vegetation, the intense activity of the city surrounds it. Temperatures ranges in wide variety, being a humid subtropical climate.
Extruded vessels start from modular vessels and extrusions create for light and extrances.
