70s-

Jobs and Wozniak started out building The Apple I in Job’s garage and sold them without a monitor, keyboard, or casing

80s-

Wozniak left Apple in 1983 due to a diminishing interest. Jobs then hired PepsiCo’s John Sculley to be president. However, this backfires as it leads to many conflicts, ending with Jobs leaving in 1985

90s-

Apple’s market share suffered slowly after its peak in 1990 and by 1996, many believed the company will fail. This resulted in Apple buying NeXT Software and Jobs will return back into Apple to make changes. Forming an alliance with Microsoft to create a Mac version of its well-known office software. This becomes a beneficial change for Apple and later Jobs will revamp the computers and introduce iBook followed by iPod, an mp3 player, which became the market leader.

The iPhone was introduced in 2007, becoming one of the world’s most successful products and the company has released several new versions since. After this product, Apple goes on to later to produce iPad tablet and Apple Watch. Now, Apple has extended its services segments with its credit card, Apple news for news, Apple Arcade for games, and the Apple TV+ for streaming original content produced by Apple 10

The “ready to assemble” model came from trying to figure out ways to sell more furniture than competitors. Prices went down & the company started getting more popular.
